For any who doesn't know the rsod (red screen of death) is caused by a corrupted firmware on the NAND.

@@Unknown-64209you must be new here. that is the infamous screen of the racing game Gran Turismo 2. on this channel, it is used for "earrape" which is very loud music or sound effects that is distorted. hope this helps!

If the PS3 overheats and the respective message apears, the console may shut down on his own and start beeping more long and prolongated as usual. That happened to me a few years ago, and when I turned on again the PS3, the fans just made that noisy scary noise from that PS4 Errors video. Anyway, its amazing how you manage to appear GT2000 in your videos. Cheers from Argentina BK4!

It's waaaay more complicated, can happen with wrong data in the nand/nor (happen more on NAND models), bad VTRM region and also caused by dumb peoples who update to cfw from factory service mode 💀(wrong data and VTRM region are pretty simmilar, and cfw update is basically killing the NAND/NOR)

4:38 This error is caused by wrong cmos battery (mostly dying but not entirely) or can be experienced if auto connecting to an account named "aa" while launching reAct PSN and enabling .RAP files (happened to me 3 times in a row, it creates a conflict in the console which tries to insert the rap file into the account and connecting you to the account, putting wrong data in the wrong emplacements making this error happen) It's not dangerous don't worry it's just here to tell you "there's something wrong with my clock buddy"

@@Aho_KxAKRSOD is caused by Wrong VTRM Region or dead NAND/NOR, It's hardly ever fixable sadly. This is even worse than YLOD. If you don't try dumb things with the CFW updates or anything like this, it should never happen. It's extremely, extremely EXTREMELY rare on non modded console, and if you know what you're doing it should never happen, no matter the console model. You should note it happen 80% of time with NAND consoles because the chips were pretty shitty, and even still it's one in a million. Good luck if you ever buy a FAT PS3, these consoles can seem fragile but they're like any other thing, if you take care of them they can last dozens of years, except 90nm chips. For YLOD, It has multiples causes. It can come from the NEC Tokins, CPU, GPU, Motherboard, capacitors... It's too random for me to tell you precisely. You can check on R.I.P Felix for further advises.

1:00 as a PS3 expert, this can happen if you power off the console while the HDD is blinking. eg: Updating the firmware, accidentally powering off the console or the lights go out. that is the known examples i could find on the internet, Thank you. Correct me if I'm wrong, I believe the first model PS3 is most susceptible to yellow light because of the solder joints under the power delivery chips around the cpu/gpu would disconnect over power cycles, similar to Xbox 360 and the red ring, however for the Xbox 360, it was the CPU/GPU joints themselves.

Capacitors called NEC-TOEKENS (spelled that wrong most likely), they are the original Xbox clock cap, leaks and corrodes everything, that’s how ylod happens.

90nm chips were garbage and the 65nm were kinda bad. Most of the time the RSX solder cracks or die causing the console to do a YLOD. NEC Tokins can happen sometimes but only with extreme overheating consoles

1:18 I think this error message happened to me before, with the ps3 slim years ago, it doesn’t work because I destroyed the hard drive on it. I’m still waiting to get an SSD upgrade for the ps4, and the Samsung T7, so I can get more storage on the PS4, and move the old PS4 hard drive to my old PS3 slim.

Far cry 3 mutiplayer works on pc now session are between 20-23pm spain hour 16-18pm southamerica, but in ps3 its always loading screen 'sync friends' n never starts. How we fix it? I check my ps3 info and discover that my trophies on ps3 shows my ps4 thrps too, could that be the error sync friends that is trying to load they info ps3 ps4 too and thats why the game didnt load?regards

I had a phat PS3 back in 2011 that had the yellow light of death but I had bought it from a private seller and it worked fine until the ylod happened. The 2nd yellow light of death happened back in early fall 2021 while I was doing a walkthrough of a golf game. I had bought the system from a retro gaming store some years before and even though I had another PS3 I had used the backwards compatible E01 PS3 from the retro store as my main PS3. On that fateful week in 2021, it started having overheating issues and the system was turning off on its own. Being the dumbass that I was, instead of backing up my game save data for everything, I kept on playing cause I wanted to finish a walkthrough but by the end of the week after turning itself off about 4-5 more times...... it finally hit the deck with the yellow light.😞

i know that video was years ago but if you didn’t mention it, there is an error when the usb cable breaks inside the controller, model is playstation 4 original/ps4-027
