Price definitely is a factor. Here in Mexico there are stacks of PS5's in the stores because at $14,000 MXN ($700 US dollars) they're simply too expensive for the average buyer.

Love the bee costume and the humor! And yeah, I can't believe how difficult it still is to buy a PS5 from a store. Sony and retailers should have incorporated a reservation system similar to the Steam Deck by now, but I guess they're profiting more from...whatever they've been doing for 2 years. They really let us down this gen, on the corporate side anyway.

I don’t own or want a ps5 but I did get a dual sense for my pc games. Its a wonderful controller. A nice upgrade to my wii u pro.

The only reason I want a PS5 now is because games still releasing in the PS4 don't run very well. You can tell these games were meant for the PS5. I'm thankful we can play them on the PS4, but the experience is hindered when there are framedrops, low quality picture, and so forth. However, it's insanely ridiculous that getting a PS5 is STILL such a pain after 2 years. This should not be a thing so long after release. I was able to walk into my local Walmart and buy a PS4 in person roughly 2 years after it had released without any problem. They can't use the pandemic as an excuse anymore; many places have recovered and while shortages might pop up, they're quickly dealt with and restocked in a matter of weeks. Idk. Maybe I'll buy one from a scalper if I save up enough. Otherwise, I may have to switch to PC.

Battery life doesn’t affect me since I sit relatively close to my TV and console.

I literally just got mines 2 years ago playing God Of War for the first time and have the last of us two on the way! This system is so fast and the experience is so smooth but my Series X quick resume feature is a little missed! This console has way better games tho! Any games I should check out?

Hard to explain to people how the controller enhances game-play .... "but dude, you feel the rain" "you feel your steps" "you feel the bow" "you feel the bushes scrubbing" "you feel when you pull the rope" .. Ghost of Tsushima: you feel when your horse changes from gravel to a wooden bridge ... :O Or when the final boss is talking from your controller .... creep level 99 It all sounds like a gimmick... but it really isn't ... Combine it with gyro-aim and the quick touch-pad swipes... and I don't want to touch my Xbox controller ever again... When I am done with the new God of War, Callisto, and get a break from COD MW2 (on pc), I guess I will re-play Death Stranding just to play with the controller as I played it on PC... Actually, I got Uncharted and TLou remastered just to play with the controller functions..:O

At this point, I’m just gonna hold out for a PS5 Pro. I STILL haven’t gotten one and we’re at a point in the generation where a potential PS5 Pro is closer than farther. It might release next year, so I’ll wait.

If you have 2 controllers and a charging dock you can always have at least 1 controller charged, so it erases the battery problem. When it dies just use the other controller.

I got the ps2 slim, ps3 super slim, and ps4 slim (mainly bc I am slow to hop on every console generation). At this point I am just going to wait for a ps5 pro or slim or something.

I love my PS5! I was one of the lucky ones who pre ordered it before launch. I have Gotham Knights going on currently along with Last of us part 2 but I want to continue Gotham Knights. I played Last of us part 1 remake and I loved it. Can’t wait for the series next year

I’m not sure about multiple years of exclusivity. Returnal was only out for 2 years and it’s on pc now and TLOU part 1 less so

As far as good value is concerned, it really depends on the games you play. If you are like me, whom only play turn based JRPG, even without Nintendo’s handheld ability, it is still the best console to choose. The Nintendo switch is the uncontested champion for turn based JRPG among all current consoles.

I have enjoyed playing all the PS4 games available on PS Plus but there needs to be far more PS5 games both 1st and 3rd party. The speed of the console is it's best quality in my opinion.

I think when comparing a console to a PC it’s fair when you compare it to a system of a comparable price. And a 5 to 6 hundred dollar PC just doesn’t hold up.

What about Series S ? are you planning a Video ? There were some rummors that it hold;s back this generation but i don't really see it - there are many good looking games for it . Even very demanding games like cyberpunk 2077 and Dying light 2 gotten 60fps updates . Haven't tried DL2 but cyberpunk 2077 works on series S really good and looks fantastic after all the updates .

The PS5 reminds me of the old Alienware computers. Definitely an icebreaker, but at least the thermals are better in the PS5 than the Alienware stuff. Blame Dell lol. Cool Bee-Boy costume lol.

I had a PS5 and then sold it after about a month. It's a very nice console and my first Playstation since the 2. I will say from a personal experience that I didn't love it. It just lacked the authenticity and that personality that I felt when I experienced the PS2. Now I have played the consoles that came after that through my cousins and played through the TR reboot(which I wanted to replay, but never got to)...anyways, there's plenty of games but most of them never got my attention, all too similar to each other and way too many remasters, reboots and nothing really felt original to me. I only own one console and that's the Switch and even then that has its drawbacks.

Cool review...and costume. Very content with my PS5, running some exclusives like Uncharted 4 at 120fps. Really powerful console. Doesn't utilize all its power on some games, which made Xbox fans go berserk, yet it mopped floor with Series X on some older titles, still...PS5 is freaking awesome.

PS5/XSX are the most useless systems of all time, all this power and we’re still getting 30 fps games, dynamic resolutions and the same stale boring gameplay from these AAA devs.

Overall a good review, but I don’t see how you view the ps5 as value… Xbox offers a lot more value with first party games on game pass day one as opposed to having to pay the 70 dollars for each ps5 exclusives… sure the digital version is a good price but a console isn’t cheap when you have to pay so much for each individual game

This video must have been filmed before the price increase, no way he doesn't know the PS5 is about $50 - $80 more expensive around the world except the US. Had my PS5 since March of this year before the increase & I want to say I personally love my PS5, but & this is a HUGE BUT, the PS5 feels like the PS4 2.0 I don't mean that to be disrespectful but to say as of writing this comment you really don't really need to own a PS5 hell or even need to own a series X if you don't already have one the reason I state that is because the lack of true current gen games, & the fact that most/ all games are cross gen, from both PlayStation and Xbox. We don't have games that are truly pushing console games forward for example GoW Ragnarok while it is without a doubt GOTY its still feels like a PS4 game taking advantage of better Hardware in my opinion. There has been about 10 PS exclusive that have come out since launch and only 4 of those 10 were PS5 current gen "exclusive game"*

You will usually get 9-12 hours with the Dualsense and the longest gaming session I've ever had was 8 hours so it's been fine for me and most gamers as well I think but if this causes a problem for anyone they can just get the charging dock and a second controller to swap your first one with when the battery dies and you'll be all set. As for the value of the PS5 I completely agree that Sony is charging too little for it and if anyone disagrees then they should familiarize themselves with the basic economic principle that prices should be increased when the demand is too high, the supply is too small, or both, as one could see it as. On another note, the value is stunning compared to the equally-priced competitor's console, which only plays the same third party games as the PS5 without any system-selling exclusives that make people who don't have an Xbox jealous of those who do. Sure there's game pass, but that's on many devices now. A gaming PC or even a Steam Deck makes way more sense than an Xbox. And even if you are someone who is interested in their exclusives, all of them release the same day on PC as they do on console, so there's no point in spending $500 or even $300 on an Xbox.

Controller is garbage. Bought mw2 on ps5 cuz that's what my friends are on. Should of just got it on xbox. Battery life sucks and bumpers are a reach. Uncomfortable to me I think the dualshock was better. Elite 2 is where it's at I have had no issues with mine. I do think the dualsense has cool features but they forgot to make it comfortable.
