I’d worry about warranty claims if the system ever did break down.

Users can do whatever they want with their own property, which the console becomes after they buy it. The issue was with other companies profiting off of it without being affiliated with Sony in any way. No one is stopping users from taking off the plates and modifying them in any way.

@@adrijanc.8816 I guess not but I would maybe wait or at least ask Sony if I can paint my plates before I do it in the warranty period. I know it is mine to do what I like with but that doesn’t mean I can throw it out of a window and still expect to get another one free of charge.

I call BS. You can do what ever you want with your console. And as long as you are not breaking any seals there is no reason for Sony to deny any cases of warrenty. The plates are made to come off easily to upgrade the SSD. Sony wants you to do that and as long as you are not spraying half a can of clear coat into the vents making the PS5 overheat and burn down you won't have any warrenty issues for just painting your console. What Sony doesn't like is if you try to make profit of selling custom blades. Understandable if Sony wants to sell own custom blades in the future.

@@blitz295 Also, this is where I see the creator to increase the difficulty levels of these traversal kinda games as well. Too much pressure, you crumble the hold, too little you don't get the grip. With each difficulty the range shrinks just to keep you on your edge all the time. And actually give you the real sense of, "ohh no don't crumble, don't drop for dear lord" moments!

Sony needs to create easy profiles so that devs can easily implement it. Like just a profile for walking fast or slow , that can be implemented universally by devs instead of having them to create them by scratch.

I hope so. Some of the cooler features of the PS4 controller, like the built-in speaker, were forgotten pretty quickly. The new haptics are a much bigger leap forward though, so I’m optimistic.

I think it wasn’t used well enough because they were only added in after Sony gave out the controllers. And I’m pretty sure the game was already done by then so they probably only implemented it after the fact.

I can't help but think that this game was originally intended to be a PS4 game compatible with PS5 and that's the reason the haptics and triggers aren't used as much. But yeah, let's hope the new games make a better use of these features.

But Astro's Playroom is Sony's own game too 🤔 jk, I know what you mean. Hopefully Sony HQ in Japan will share documentation, best practices, and ProTips to make this controller experience really flourish.

you see, the "customizing" part is not the problem. The "I could get" part is.

For real, and knowing 90% of games for both consoles would be multiplatform games, then don't expect much on those features being used, especially the adaptive triggers. Devs barely do something about it maybe the first or second yr but later on it will be forgotten just like the touch pad of dualshock 4. It's just all gimick, and can be bothersome after long hours of playing time.

@@gremlinking5640 there is a forced advantage of exclusives. Its sad how many great titles are limited to Sony or Nintendo consoles(zelda, Mario, last of us, god of war, spiderman, bloodborne, etc). But I guess exclusives are what sell consoles, so they're a necessary requirement for them. Otherwise they're just full of disadvantages. Paid online, costlier games, limited esport potential, just to name a few.

They're exclusives because only having to develop for one set of hardware means you get to spend more time and money actually making the game. So do fuck off with your "Exclusives are bad!" On a less aggressive sidenote: Consoles are plug and play. They have only one set of hardware, which means you don't have to worry about fiddling around with your options to have reliable FPS or figuring out whether your machine can run it at a decent framerate. They're the option you want if you just wanna play games.

I’m sorry but my DualShock 4 lasts longer than that. There might be some larger compatibility issue at play since people using it on the console have said that it isn’t extraordinarily good but not worse by any means.
