My preference is Xbox this gen, for the first time ever - I bought the Series X. But I really appreciated the level and reasonable points made in this video. Good presentation, think I might stick around and check out more from your channel bro 👍🏽

I don’t get it why people always complain about the Xbox controller also works with AA batteries. It’s easy to replace it with a rechargeable battery pack. It also got a great advantage when the battery is dead and won’t recharge anymore you can replace it in seconds. The PS controller is dead and gone. Also I’ll never join the PS universes because friends over there often act to cultish and I can’t give them the feeling of satisfaction or empowerment for that😂 ✌🏽

I only have a Series X so I can't comment on how the PS5 compares. My Series X controllers came with rechargeable battery packs but I purchased it used from OfferUp so that explains it.

I have both. The PS5 controller’s features are outstanding however I am more comfortable holding the xbox controller and love the quick resume feature on Xbox so end up using that more

Removable batteries is a good thing not need to throw away the controller after it don’t hold a charge no need to have a second controller mid play when the battery dies (and it will) don’t have to play with a cable

Switched from Xbox Series S to PS5 few weeks ago. The only thing I really miss about Xbox is game pass, I prefer everything else on PS. I wish I could have kept my Series S though it's a beautiful console but I had to either sell Series S or my Switch OLED, I'm not that big on money to own all three consoles lol.. so I decided for PS5-Nintendo Switch combo and I'm glad I did

I had both now I just have the series x. So that says which one I think is better. The exclusives on ps aren’t that appealing to me and with Sony increasing monthly subscription prices I just could not see myself holding on to it specially when I was not using it nearly half as much as my series x. The online fps multiplayer that Xbox offers is just simply better than what ps lacks.

I’m a ps5. Now which 1 is better easy , the console that you like the most. But I love the Xbox controller and rather be able to use removable batteries and just buy rechargeable.

Arinze Clifford - Well at least you're more upfront and honest about you opinion. Cloud game saves on the Xbox are free. You have to pay for that feature on the PlayStation. You did leave out a feature that Xbox series consoles have that PS5 doesn't and that's QUICK RESUME. That feature alone is a godsend. You should should give it a try. I used to own a PlayStation 5, but it died, so I returned it and never looked back. My family enjoys gaming on a variety of platforms, including mobile, Nintendo, Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. They primarily play games through the Xbox GamePass ecosystem. It is a better value for a family than PS+. I primarily play Xbox and PC games. But, hey, play what you want. There's nothing wrong with that.

Prefer the Xbox for cross platform titles and the PS5 for exclusives. I just trust that I will retain access to my library of games for a longer time with the Xbox than when PlayStation decides that you need to upgrade to the next console and then shuts support for backward compatibility

I own both consoles and i prefer the Xbox series X , the controllers are better & i love the 3 generations of games i get to play , tons of games and plus with the ABK deal ill soon be able to get back on World of Warcraft

I’ve had the ps5 digital and series x since 2020. For me the duelsense is uncomfortable, adaptive triggers aren’t noticeable after 10min, battery life is terrible, and my controller stopped working after 8 months. The ps5 UI is nearly the same as the ps3 and 4, it’s bad. Ps5 is an eyesore too. Only issue I have with the series x is every now and then my controller and headset loses connection mid game. Both official headsets sound the same to me. Series X takes it easily for me, I only use my ps5 for exclusives

I went series S because I couldn’t find a PS5 but after playing the series S I then chose to upgrade to the series X. I’ve only ever owned PlayStation consoles & we still have a PS5 in the house but I prefer Xbox series X with Gamepass nowadays.

AA batteries is a bonus. I can buy infinite Eneloop batteries and swap them whenever I'm low. Sony doesn't sell replacement batteries for the PS5 controller.

I think the AA batteries are the most appealing part of an xbox, never have i ever had battery anxiety with my xbox controllers, rechargeable AAs will go for probably 40 hours of straight gaming and then the second they die just pop in some freshly charged ones and it is fully charged in 2 seconds idk how anyone could see this as a negative especially compared to the shit battery in playstation controllers

6:01 that isn’t a downside it’s an upside because it not only gives you more freedom you could do throwaway batteries or recharge able aa batteries or the recharge able battery block from Microsoft and if the battery(s) go bad you can throwaway the battery(s) and not the whole 70 dollar controller or be stuck on wired

I'll take 40hrs of AA battery life over the 4hrs of crappy battery life in the Dual Sense any day.

Exclusives - PS5 wins. I heard Xbox has more but PS5 has bigger and higher quality. However this could change because Sony doesnt have a single known first party game releasing in 2024 or 2025 meanwhile xbox has games like hellblade 2 and avowed which both look high quality. Subscriptions - Xbox. Day and date games makes gamepass so much more valuable. For example this year I played games like lies of P which is one of my goty contenders for only £12 a month and i likely wouldnt have played it otherwise. Controller - Xbox. For me i turn off vibrations because it begins to hurt my hands after playing for a while so that removes one of the main features of the controller. I also find xbox more comfortable to hold. If more games like astros playrooms released that utilised the controller properly i would probably give this to the ps5 Power - I honestly dont notice a difference but from what I have heard Series X > PS5 > Series S Speed - Again from what ive heard PS5 > Series X > Series S Easily Xbox. I rarely play on my ps5 but play on my xbox constantly because of gamepass. I only play ps5 for the exclusives

Im tempted to get this because its on sale for $550 Canadian and strictly use it for gamepass i have a ps5 im a physical game kind of guy so most of my games are physical and a mix of digital but this seems like a deal for the sale price and gamepass alone

I mainly played PS4 last gen and got an Xbox Series X in 2020 and I love it. Game pass is great the UI is easy and clean and the thing runs game’s beautifully on my TV. Just waiting for some of those games to come out like avowed fable and the next elder scrolls

I have a series x the gamepass is not for me i get hated on for not having the gamepass i got it because of the backwards compatible i only have the core pass just to play my games i own online i buy all my games im getting a ps5 soon

I have both always been a playstation man but I gotta go with xbox better graphics and I like u can play xbox 360 games. And xbox controllers stay charged longer.

Both controllers use batteries, the difference is, the ps5 batteries are built in, which means when they stop recharging, you'll either need to do surgery(if you're skilled enough) or buy another expensive controller, with the xbox you can buy disposable batteries or rechargeable batteries and when those don't charge anymore, they cost less than $10 for a single rechargeable battery or 2 for $15, that's a win IMO

if you looking for 1 and done 3rd person movie type cut scene heavy games then PS5 is your go to . if you want online indie a vast array of games then xbox oh n sony had their gamepass alternative out first xbox just done it better. either way majority of gamers on both are playing games that are on both consoles so what ever your position either console is good 👍

FPS & Third parties I buy on my Series X. First party and single player adventure games on my PS5.

I am Ps5 for life but got a series x Xbox with gamepass. I can honestly say I’ll probably never touch the Ps5 again. The gamepass changes everything

I bought a Series S for this generation, and I'm more than happy with it. 60% of my gaming is on Switch, 30% on series S, and the rest is PS4 (because I'm trying to complete my backlog). Most of the friends I play online with are switching to PC, so I may do that in the near future. This will be the first generation I don't own a Playstation console.

People often complain bout the poor choice Microsoft used when choosing batteries for the controller when Sony uses a charger. But when using a charger eventually the controller will die out and you will have to buy a whole new controller or keep the one you have constantly plugged in. I love my series X and think gamepass and ability to play OG Xbox games from my childhood is dope. I believe you can do that with some old PlayStation games but I believe it’s locked behind PS Plus( I could be wrong). But along with almost instant loading times the series X and many other features I’m happy with my decision to stick with Xbox for another generation.💯

I don't understand the knock on Xbox for using AA batteries. It gives you options. When the Xbox controllers cost less, you have the option to just buy a charge and play kit and be functionality the same as a PS5 controller. Having more options is not a disappointment.

Both are great systems . PS5 been managing to pop out more exclusives . Xbox exclusives are lacking pretty bad. I only got an Xbox One X for Halo and Gears Of War exclusives and the last Halo game was shitty . Gear 6 I do t believe would be shitty. It would be awesome whenever it does come out. When Gear 6 does come out, that when I’ll probably get an Xbox Series unless it changes to be playable on PS5 too

How is AA batteries disappointing? I love the Xbox controllers for that. After owning a PS4 for the past 8 years it has gotten extremely annoying how quickly the controllers die. I find myself going back to the cable like the PS2 days. Batteries may seem “outdated” but it’s really not. A four-ish hour battery life is dated. We have noise cancelling headphones reaching an advertised 50 hours of play time. Why can’t we get at least 20 hours? My PS3 controllers lasted that long. These new console controllers are bigger. They have room to fit a larger battery with fast charging.

I have both and whilst the xbox has improved ui wise, it games just fine,but the LOUD clicky controller smaller than the perfect xbox one size controller lets it down, the biggest most important part of a console is the controller, ps5 wins hands down controller comfort wise. Both game just fine.

If you really think about the batterie use for Controllers, its actually pretty clever.

I don't know why people have problems with the battery of Xbox controller, it is absolutely perfect at least u don't have to rush to the service centre to repair when your controller is down with the battery

Sorry for any typos in this but ive had my xbox one s since god knows when and ive had PlayStations before but switched to xbox because of my mates and my family are more comfortable with the xbox controller but ive made a decision to change back to PlayStation and get the ps5. Tbh i wanted to do this because xbox talk so much on game pass but lets be honest games barely change on game pass and the games on there are terrible. I always say to myself for me to get something new like new gen it has to be sufficiently different to the last and other then the shape of the console nothings really changed we still have batteries we need to buy for them or get an adapter. The controller is exactly the same with one extra button to capture stuff on. The Home Screen is the same nothing changed tbh but the shape of the console but on the ps5 the controller changed you get haptic feedback and the games selection on their “game pass” look so much better im still gunna use my xbox one s because i have a racing setup but i cant wait for my ps5 next month !!!

I just bought a PS5 about 3 weeks ago. I went back to PS after being with Xbox for the last 2 generation. The only thing I like better about the Series X over the PS is the controller feels more comfortable, more natural, and the control sticks have better enditation. The PS controller is comfy as well it feels good but I feel as though the Xbox controller just feels more relaxing, thats all. I really have been underwhelmed with the Xbox. I like the form factor and it's quietness, but their just isn't a significant difference when it comes to games as far as visuals and gameplay. People will argue that the Xbox will run games a lot smoother more consistently, and yeah maybe but you won't notice it unless your doing a side by side comparison, not significant enough. Then you have games like Gran Turismo on PS that looks visually better when it comes to details than its competition FM8 on Xbox. Forza has RT during gameplay which is cool while GT has RT during replays. But fps has more of an impact on gameplay than RT especially in racing games. Both games look good wit RT on or off, but Forza still runs 30 fps replays and it sucks watching the scenery go by. Meanwhile GT runs 60fps replays and it looks wonderful. What I'm trying to say here is it's just not a significant gap enough to be the most powerful gaming console. Xbox beats PS sometimes and PS beats Xbox sometimes. I'm enjoying the PS more and not just because of exclusives, but more so because of the dual sense controller bringing you more immersion and a different feel than just using the same ol controller with gameplay. Also being able to use motion sense with the controller brings a different level of interactions which works well. And we don't even have to talk about VR. And this is not for eveyone but for me personally I feel the PS is more of the next gen console because of these things. It's not only about graphics and fps. And it's not about being the best at doing something or the best in a category. It's more so about being well rounded, a complete package, what's different, unique, and the PS does this better than the Xbox. So I enjoy and I'm glad I've gone back to PS so much so that I've put my Series X up for sale.

Series x is the better console but ps5 has better games. Xbox for multiplats ps5 for exclusives. I love the xbox controller and the better vrr window.

I converted to team playstation December 2019 when i bought a ps4 pro and have had the ps5 since December 2021. Playstation simply has too many games, i still own a xbox one x but i dont see a reason to purchase the series X. They have no console selling games.

Us Xbox people actually like the AA battery style. Not only are they an option but we can cheaply buy rechargeable batteries so we never need to use a different controller or wait for it to charge to continue playing a game.
