I got my Playstation used for $300, with the disc drive and tons of games. I'm proud to state that it's a Playstation exclusive machine, and has never once tasted my credit card throughout my ownership. Games are purchased used, with huge discounts. This is how you beat their little games.

This is why I was cheering on the ABK merger.

The price increases are not a good thing. What's the numbers say about their guessed losses vs their real number of losses. The immediate impact might be a big frustration to the company and then they will start rolling back the price.

This is why I'm glad I swapped to PC gaming a few years ago. At this point, getting a PC setup isn't even that much more expensive than playing on console.

After the acquisition of Activision/Blizzard Microsoft can basically wait Sony out and Sony will do themselves in and drive their customers to Xbox, Nintendo or PC. PS5 might be the last dominate generation Sony has.

I’m in the UK. I pay £6.99 Xbox core which for me works perfectly and I buy digital games in the hundreds.. and some on a disk. I’ll stick with Xbox.

If this holiday season has a Series S for $250 I'm making the jump just for their keyboard & mouse supported games & classics. I don't even get excited for Sony's first party games because they're ALL THE SAME except for a few exceptions & push the 🌈 agenda hard.

The gaming industry as a whole has been in the crapper for the past few years, I’ve given up on all of them equally. I’ve been occupying myself with reading books and learning more about the hobbies and interests I’m in to. I’ve been able to obtain more knowledge about logic board repairs, now my vintage PowerMac G4 is operational. I’ll stick with my OG and 360 Xbox consoles as those to me are actual gaming experiences, not this conglomerate money grab tripe.

I had every playstation since 1999 and it was awesome. But in todays time i skipped ps5 and moved to pc, and i think i did the best decision of my life. No more ps plus to play online, no more expensive games with locked settings, modding, better graphics and performance . Plus u get xbox games and more, if u have xbox subscription. Like why u even need ps5 at this point. Yes it is expensive when u buy/build pc but in long run its the best

To be fair, and this is easily found since it’s public info, but Microsoft’s cash on hand in massive. When you compare Sony’s market valuation, MS could buy out Sony with straight cash and not miss a stroke. This is a leading reason I am sure they don’t have to raise prices much of at all, they can afford the loss and not alienate their customers.

i just bought an xbox series x because of your video about the ps5 slim and you mentioned the psn stuff in that video and i have been with sony since the ps1. fact is Microsoft has gamepass and just bought activision/blizzard and bethesda so im hedging my bets that xbox is gonna be the better play atleast for this generation. and sony has pulled some scumbag moves with their ps5 slim. i was worried about the exclusive games but i looked them up and nothing thats strictly for playstation is a game i want or for the most part ever played. thanks for helping me make the choice

I would consider getting a premium package , CONSIDER ! Premium if they added some games from PS2 that never seen the light of day like Street Fighter Alpha Anthology would be awesome because you get awesome versions of the alphas and can unlock Hyper Street Fighter Alpha and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper . Back to the premium tier though speaking of Street Fighter as well . . . PS3 - you can download Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online , Street Fighter 2 HD Remix , Ultra Street Fighter 4 - PS4/PS5 , you cnt buy them like PS3 for keeps on HDD but you can play the games if you commit to a premium package and until you stop paying for the package you have access to them ? The only reason why I was able to dodge the bullet around Ultra Street Fighter IV downloaded on my PS4 Slim and Pro was because I preordered the Street Fighter 30th anniversary back in 2018 and picked it up day one and that was a preorder bonus. If not that would be out of my library access and would need a Premium account ? This is preposterous! Yes I am talking about one particular series but I’m sure I’m not the only one that thinks that PlayStation is slooping closer and closer into being totally anti-consumer . ive been a son gamer my entire life(grew up with it) and its sad to see the state playstation is in. and while i have a pc setup i have still not fullly transferred to pc games,mostly because i like physical copy games and physical games just make for great gifts(my dad insist on gifting me games physically rather then just buy me a gift card) plus i just prefer controller its sad to see the current state of playstation and its making me want to full transfer to pc

I was absolutely going to buy a ps5 slim so my kids could have 1 and I'd have 1. But after these price increases and the $29.99 stand I have to purchase just killed the entire idea for me. It's been said here in spain. For the vertical stand you must take your receipt of the ps5 slim to get it. And you will be told . You will need extra warranty as y buying and using the stand you lose your warranty. Is this true

Sony just needs to lower game cost and bring back classic franchises they own because people would rather play them anyway, all the price hikes do is piss people off and the only ones who probably actually pay for ps plus probably only play online games like cod, battlefield, siege which are all included in gamepass ultimate which why pay for increasing prices of the services and games if you can just go to xbox and get all the pvp and coop games you could want to play included in the service and get any day one exclusives from xbox and eventually ea games come to the service as well like sony needs to either cut the requirement to pay to play games you own online or make ps plus include all exclusives day one and offer all the franchises they own in the past be playable on it as well while including newer games in rotation like gamepass if they dont want to do that then maybe include crunchyroll premium& all the movies they have rights to as well in the service instead of paying to have multiple new games every month but either way if they want ps plus to be required for online play they need to make the cost worth it and id say giving all older titles and new ones day one plus crunchyroll and a movie selection would be fine for the price of like 180 a year sounds fair to me since crunchyroll basic preium upfront gift buy is 70 before tax then you can do 55 for the movies/games included so 180 then whatever your taxes make it

Dont even think I like anyone's first party titles between xbox or playstation. God of War is over rated for actual game play outside of visuals, like many things, and the fun arcade racers like MotorStorm are gone, creative worlds liks Crimson Skies, gone for even longer.... It's just really a sad state of gaming with only a few third party titles we rely upon. Wreckfest is still the next best thing we have to MotorStorm, and look how long we're still playing that because everything else just forgot how to make good value for fun. I bought the more recent dirt games and they're just something that isn't the same vibe I'm looking for. They're OK, but 60 dollars OK? No... And don't get me started on the 70 dollars base games. Not a SINGLE 70 dollar tittle has proven to be worth their day one price tag. Not a god damned one of them.

I've been saying this the entire gen, Sony has made so many anti-consumer moves that it genuinely shocks me their fans continually give them a pass! It seems like internet fanboys are too busy hating on Microsoft for their acquisitions, they ignore all the sh*t Sony is feeding them. I'm a PC-only guy, and admittedly an old school Nintendo diehard, but even I stopped defending their BS after enough anti-consumer decisions.

Unfortunately, all the services are actually taking a nosedive. And yes while Microsoft is technically more advanced in the service sphere, Phil Spencer even admitted they aren't gunning for top place. They are basically happy with being third. That's why they sunsetted Xbox Live Gold and created Xbox GamePass Core. At least there you get the normal service plus 25 games to choose from. That is light-years better than Sony. Sony doesn't offer you anything but buy this and buy that. My only complaint is that both services continue to lock streaming your game library to your PC or mobile device behind a premium paywall. This is sleazy at best. At least Steam on PC you can stream your games to a compatible device for free. This is where PC truly is superior, as the services aren't looking to control every byte of your game content.

I said this before and I'll say it again. Online play should be free like it still is currently with ps3. PS+ should be optional if you want those other features and even their cheapest tier should be free and should NOT be 80 dollars.
