Marvel’s Spiderman on PS4 is a bloody great game. As it’s a Spidey superhero outing it’s jam packed with references to the marvel universe but there’s also shed load of nods to video game, movie, music and some random occurrences that I think you should see for yourself. Has anyone noticed that when you get to Normans Penthouse and use the prototype combat helmet, the top HUD reads "GG14071964" which more than likely stands for Green Goblin and the 14-07-1964 is the date of Green Goblin first appearance in the comics

There is a ROCKY nod when you fight Volture and Electro. Spidey calls Volture by his name: YO, ADRIANE.. Then he wounders will somebody finaly start to get his jokes.. A bunch of the collectable backpacks are in locations from other Spider-Man games, like the open circle roof building from Spider-Man PS1, the final battle from Spider-Man 2, Ock's lab from the start of Spider-Man 2, Ben + the backpack in the same graveyard as Spider-Man 1, and likely ones I didn't pick up on.

Another hidden easter egg that not much people know about is one of the civilians yell out. "I know you saved the city but don't think for a second that means anything, I'm watching you like a "HAWK". and the person who voices that character is troy baker and he's the voice actor for Hawkeye in avengers assemble and in alot other animated incarnations.

Honestly I thought the Matt Murdock business card was a reference to both Dare Devil and the old Spider-Man cartoon. In the old cartoon, Peter is arrested for something he didn't do and Murdock is his appointed lawyer. Spidey and DD meet because Spidey is also being framed, and I thought at the end, Murdock gave Pete his card

During one side mission, when you have to find the imposter spiderman, he mentions that he has a black belt and teaches at the chikara dojo. That's a reference to the dojo colleen wing teaches at in the iron fist netflix series.

Alfred Molina face was used for some of the thugs. Alfred played doc Ock in Spider-man 2. His face was 3D scanned for the movie. The Aldred model was also used to show the capabilities of the PS3 in the 2005 E3 presentation.

There's also a reference to Spider-Man: Far from Home after the new suit update when you are wearing the Bosco/upgraded suit and fighting a group of thugs, one of the guys yells "Hey, I thought you said he was on vacation!"

You forgot that in one mission Peter even makes a quip that was a reference to Duke Nukem. As well, some of the backpacks contain references to some of Spidey’s villains that aren’t in the game, specifically Mysterio, Lizard, & Sandman. Also, in one of JJJ’s broadcasts he makes a reference to Nazis made of bees, referencing the villain Swarm. As well in the mission Spider-Men, the fake Spider-Man mentions that he was trained in the Chikara Dojo, which is the dojo owned by Colleen Wing in the show Iron Fist.

10:42 Fun fact: Stan Lee did not intend on killing off Gwen Stacy in the comics and pairing Spidey with MJ. To him, Gwen was supposed to be his only love. So making him say that line (in context) is either just a coincidence or Insomniac cheekily making him give up his old romance ideas and accept the new normal.

He didn't mean "together again" as in "a couple together again", but rather as in "working together again" or "spending time together again" since they don't actually start dating again til later. Also, he refers to them a his "favorites", not "favorite", because he's not referring to them as his "favorite" couple, but that out of all the chaeacters he created, they are his "favorites"

I'm surprised you didn't mention the reference to the Ultimate Spiderman game that came from Electro when he first escapes "Come on Spiderman, I thought this was a chase!" There's a Venom mission in Ultimate Spiderman where you're chasing Electro and he says "I thought this was a chase, not a friggin' walk in park!" Though admittedly, I'm not a comic reader so I have no idea if this is something said by him on other occasions.

The imposter spider man also says he’s a teacher at the Chikara Dojo, where Colleen Wing teaches. Doctor Morgan Michaels is the alias of Morbius the Living Vampire. There’s also references to Mendel Stromm (Gaunt) and Nels Van Adder (Proto-Goblin)

There is also a line where someone says "Spider-Man no more", this is in reference to Peter's words, "Spider-Man no more" or just "No more!" whenever he would briefly quit being Spider-Man in the comics due to some trauma. Also the little jokes about the Shocker being out of jail again the first time because in the Ultimate series he kept escaping every several comics and Spidey would keep being surprised he kept getting out. Just loved those little references.
