This game made my childhood! I used to spend hours thinking about the history and even wrote a little book about this masterpiece. I honestly dont know a single person Who played this and dont say it was one of the Best games ever made.

OMG the project is alive! I've been waiting for that moment since the late 90s. Old LBAs are brilliant. But we, oldschool fans, want the new story too. Hope it will happen after the remaster. Rays of love to the team!

This looks visually stunning and smooth. Twinsen's running feels a little bit weird, though, but it's only a pre-alpha after all.

Totally agree, seems a bit clunky but this being a pre-alpha I'm sure there's a lot of room for improvement! Very hopeful for this remaster/remake!! :D

The devs said in the discord that they're the original animations, they haven't replaced those yet.

I Love LBA. Can you improve the movement animations, it appears a bit stiff. and maybe, cell-shading would be a good idea as an option or atleast a filter option

If this remaster can reduce the stiffness of the original gameplay and make the fights a bit more dynamic, it's already a great step. Thanks for the hard work!

The stiffness of the original game made me actually avoid fights in that game if I had the chance. That is something I don't do anymore in modern games because it is always so easy to just go and kill everything. Sneaking is possible, but why if killing everything is much simpler and less risky.

Same! It was my first game! I used to watch my neighbor play it and my grandpa bought it for me when I was 8. Also the first game I ever beat many years later! I can't wait for more updates on this one!

I'm there day 1.. I'll pick this up for Xbox as soon as there is a version to buy.. Until then I'll fund the steam version. I hope this is released on every platform though. This series needs to be played by as many people as possible.

Reminder to those already offering critique and expressing disappointment: this is a pre alpha build. There's a long way and a lot of differences between here, alpha, beta and gold. For my part, I'm so excited that this is happening, and we know it is in quite simply the safest pairs of hands we could have asked for, the original creators. Ultimately, too, if anyone gets to say how it 'should' look/sound/play, it's them.

OMG !! My childhood !! A drop roll from my eyes and very, very emotional!!! I won this game bundled as a promotional pack of multimedia kit from CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER !! This game was, in my deepest hart feeling, the best game ever made for PC from all eras !! No matter frame rate, reality, resolution, etc... really NO NEED IT to conquer our hearts!! I remember to maintain an old PentiumMMX JUST TO RUN this fantastic, epic and lovable game... till de mother board stop to work and the Direct X lose game support !! Some questions: All history will be remastered ?? I played LBA1 and 2 !! The history and scenarios will be keep in order to preserve original game path or there will be "some remake changes ??" SUPER GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS TO ALL DEVELOPERS !!! *_REALLY SO HAPPY_* Please: dont forget Brasil !!!

@@shivasouza6718 cara, minha sound blaster era a AWE32 completo (caixas de som e microfone incluídos, CDROM q nao lembro a velocidade em X e etc) e veio com muitos CDs de jogos e aplicativos... Lembro de ter vindo com Twinsen2, Time Comando (muito bom tb. Vc era uma especie de soldado do tempo e lutava em eras da historia pra manter o equilíbrio), Akuma the soulless (nao lembro se akuma, akura etc...) era um indigena ou aborigene com mascara da morte pintada no rosto, meio bizarro, em varios ambientes tipo floresta, cavernas e etc... que lutava contra criaturas vinda do inferno... esse jogo eu gostava mas literalmente nao encontro nem menção a ele na internet !! Simplesmente desapareceu !! Sinto saudades dessa epoca... principalmente do Twinsen !! Meu filho se emocionou pq jogamos muito juntos um pco antes do meu PCzinho MMX morrer de vez 😢

Lembro que Time Commando 2 eu namorei a beça na CD Expert, pq era de uma edição antiga que eu havia perdido, pirei o cabeção quando achei, anos depois numa banca kkk. O meu kit era o "mais simples", o famoso SoundBlaster 16, sem microfone, mas com o CD e a placa de som/caixinhas branco amarelado Tive um MMX também, hoje em dia as vezes me pego nostalgico e emulo o bichinho no PCem. E que maneiro que tu jogou com teu filho! Cara, esse jogo que tu lembra, vou até tentar catar aqui para você, sempre me pego nessas viagens nostalgicas, vai que eu topo com ele? Eu lembro de um game chamado Akuji the Heartless, a descrição é bem similar ao que você falou: Tribal, mascara da morte e tal... Mas não sei se chegou a sair pro PC ou só pro PS1! Grande abraço!

@@shivasouza6718 Super maneiro nos conectar com pessoas com historias parecidas !! Nao sei se regulamos a mesma idade (eu 53 anos): Eucheguei a instalar windows 3.1 (iss mesmo !! Pq o 3.11 tinha rede com NE2000) e nessa epoca eu dividia meu carinho especial com meu filho e com a eletronica a qual sou formado... Eu tenho um MSX Gradiente que ate hoje funciona (da bugs mas por causa da oxidacao nos CIs soqueteados) e ainda le os diskettes !! Muita nostalgia mesmo... inclusive te pergunto se nao tem (ou comhece alguem q tenha) drive de disquete de PC, de 5 1/4 (nao é o pequenino) a preço justo pra vender pq eu queria "ripar" o conteúdo de alguns diskettes antigos que eram do meu pai !! Eu vi um Pentium MMX completo a venda mas achei que pagar quase 3k por algo muito antigo seria desnecessario... PS.: Eu posso ter confundido o nome do jogo... pode ser akuji the heartless... afinal, sao mais de 25 anos de poeira nas memorias !!! Abracos amigao !!

Mas era de PC mesmo e tinha a mesma hype desse que voce mandou aki!! Meu pai era militar (marinha ) e trouxe o kit pra mim de uma viajem... pq se dependesse de comprar por aki nao teria acontecido !! Eu tb Tenho um MSX da gradiente completo e transformado em 2+ pela tecnobytes (os caras existem ate hoje !!) lendo inclusive diskettes !! Eu precisava mesmo é de um drive de diskettes de PC de 5 1/4 e se souber de alguém que tenha sinta se a vontade pra me contatar !! Legal se conectar a pessoas com historias parecidas com a sua !! Abracos !!

LBA was the most wonderful game in my childhood. I was impressed so much when I saw my uncle played LBA. When I got older, LBA2 was the first game installed on my first PC. If I can only choose one game in my life, LBA will be my choice. Added LBA Remaster to my steam wishlist, can't wait to see.

Ce jeu a bercé une partie de mon enfance et mon adolescence. J’étais en Afrique et j avais qu’un pc avec 2/3 jeux dessus dont LBA 2. Ce jeu m’a fait rêvé, voyagé et ça reste le meilleur jeu auquel j’ai joué. Aujourd’hui j’ai 31 ans et je me rend compte à quel point je suis fan de la licence vu comment j’ai été heureux à l’annonce du remaster ❤❤❤

I really hope that in the settings menu we have the option to switch / choose between the new or old version of the musics. Love the classic soundtracks. I liked the clean, minimalist style of the old game. I think it would be great if they could be inspired by some Zelda games. Both in the visual style and in the fluidity of the movements. Hey devs, watch out for the size of that Twinsen foot.

Oooh what memories...! I used to play Little Big Adventure (PS1) a lot when I was a kid... the scenery, the music... the story was very beautiful and I remember being very happy the first and only time I could complete and finish the game...! then my PS1 crashed and I couldn't play it anymore... now, sometimes I listen some of the Soundtracks of this game... I love the music of this game, it's so relaxing and melancholic... very nice game, really.

I prefer the more detailed hand drawn/painted(?) style of the original environments. Feels like they have more depth, and it's a more mature look. Saying that, it still looks amazing and I can't wait to play this

Je veux me péter les oreilles sur la musique d'intro remastérisé :) Je me souviens à l'époque de la sortie du jeu. J'invite mon meilleur pote chez moi qui n'avait aucun PC mais une megadrive comme beaucoup à l'époque. Je lui met LBA et dès qu'il à vu l'écran d'intro avec la musique il à fait un sursaut avec la pupille dilaté tellement le jeu était un cran au dessus de ce qu'il se faisait à l'époque. Peu de jeu son capable de faire ça. C'est ça la magie de LBA.

Much better than the early screenshots! YES! I don't know why people are complaining about Twinsen model which is looking very good imo. My only complaint would be that the enemies are not looking like enemies. They're too rounded (cartoon-ish) and they look like toys.

I had LBA2 only when i got my first pc, but i still remember all music and all scenes of the game as the classic Alone In The Dark games. Great atmosphere, and great adventure game.

Thank you for using the same animations (or similar to them) and graphics! I hope there's a retro mode where it would turn the visuals into the old game or similar to it but keep everything else modern like controls.

As a Korean fan, I sincerely appreciate the inclusion of Korean subtitles in the remastered version!! I have a happy memory of playing LBA with my family while interpreting the English version with a dictionary when I was young. I can't wait!!! 한국인 팬으로서, 이 리마스터 버전에 한국어 번역을 포함해 준 것에 진심으로 감사합니다. 저는 어린 시절, 가족들과 함께 사전을 들고 영어 버전을 일일이 해석해 가며 이 게임을 플레이했던 추억이 있습니다. 이젠 한국어로 즐길 수 있겠네요!!

So, no more mode change to run/fight, great ! :) Looks lovely, i hope that models/objects will have far more details : It definitely needs more details/textures/polygons, even if cell-shaded. The character design is great. Can't wait to see more. Especially for LBA 2's remaster.

Tenía tres o cuatro años cuando salió la segunda parte, empecé a "jugarlo" sin saber usar la Pc. Crecí, aprendí a usar la pc, lo pasé. Después me enteré que había uno antes, tengo la captura del orígen del DinoFly (me puso muy contento descubrir el inicio de toda la historia), lo jugué y hasta en cada computadora que he tenido, el primer juego son los LBA, crecimos juntos con el juego y ansío la tercera parte 🥰
