I've played that song all my life, but never like that. What a perfect combination, the Gershwin brothers, John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara, Beegie Adair, a bass, brushes, and an old man to listen. A time that will never be again. Thank you Lord for a good nights sleep and to wake up to this beautiful performance. Thank you, Beegie, my new friend.

Oh the beauty and magic of a great Ira and George Gershwin tune.."Someone To Watch Over Me". It will last forever when today's music is completely forgotten. Beegie Adair does it no harm either.

Eón ago, when Earth was young and me too, I used to play this song for my then girl friend (now my wife) when we got angry and it was my way of sayin I am sorry. If she would come to sit by my side everything was forgiven (never forgotten, of course) and life would be great again. We have been married for 35 beautiful years and I still play it sometimes. Life is good.

Love the long intro teasing, building to the ‘pop of the cork’ notes at 0:59 and then you float and swirl with brush’s subtle rhythms in the background.
