Hi I'm sorry to point this out but your remark about Don Knotts (the TV repair man) (1:10 min to date) Could be used in a law suit. Even though he is deseased. His daughter Karen is still alive as are his grand children. If you falsely impugne the character of somone and it causes loss or the suffering of distress to those who inherit the estate or if a false statements about a deceased person results in financial harm to their estate or heirs, those affected individuals could potentially have standing to bring a legal action for damages against the person responsible for the false statements. As far as I am aware he was not cast as a would be criminal or neither was he in real life. Hence the expression used to describe him even in "jest" is not accurate yet by inference might cause a person to think along those lines. My suggestion would be to cease and desist. But that may be too little too late. It all depends on whether they are aware.
