As someone who recently rescued a cat from a very similar situation my heart goes out to you

Not gonna lie, i was beyond confused until the end.

ONE time, a walking animal went crazy and one of them bit my leg. Thank you to the one who did something like this, saving two men, livestock and animals.

totally agree with this man. My neighbor and my mom have rescued a lot of stray cats. Sometimes the situation is really worst and end a cat life.

Feels like the guy recording is the guy who put the cat in the trap.. Because either he came up to a random trash can with his phone out, and the cat happened to still be up top.. Or he found the cat, left and *then* decided to record? Sounds like the guy put the cat there, backed away, and came back with a camera pretending to be a hero..

Yes please....i once left a rat glue trap opened outside my house and two sparrow birds stuck on it. Thank God i found them before it was too late. I used vegetable oil to get the glue off of the birds and they finally managed to fly. I was devastated and anxious the whole time until they flew off...so yeah, DO NOT KEEP THOSE RAT TRAPS OPENED !!!

Glad my service dog doesnt over react, she got her paw stuck in a glue trap and instead of freaking out she sat down, i was calling her and she never came and i went to go look for her and she was siting there waiting for me to get her unstuck. 100% gave treats for behavior and went for a walk after washing it off with dawn and rubbing alcohol

This is actually how I got my cat Leo. My dad works at Walmart and his manager found a litter of cats near the trailers so his manager put some glue traps down to catch them and throw them away. My dad saw Leo about to walk in one so he snatched him up then picked up the rest of the glue traps and brought Leo home. Now he’s my bby boy and I love him sooo much

Please I have so many questions, 1) what is the thing we walked on ? I've never seen something like that before. 2) I've already seen similar videos and I agree about the fact that this is dangerous for animals and we should be careful but is this the best way ? He wasted a towel and a lot of things that are either going to burn or go in the nature and cause pollution and the towel seemed perfectly fine to be used before. 4) maybe we should find a better and more eco friendly solution. As I said I don't know what was the object in the beginning but the thing on it looked like glue so maybe we should just carefully wash it with hot water to remove all the glue before putting it to trash so animals aren't hurt and he doesn't waste materials ? (Also it looks really sticky and I know that he probably walked on it on purpose to show how to manage this situation but still I wonder why this object was on the floor, and he's actually showing that this is a really sticky especially for animals and still he puts this object on the floor when he actually has a cat ???)

I had a bug trap under my couch and one day when i went to go feed my hamster, He didnt come out to get his food. I searched the whole cage and started crying when he was no where to be found. He was a dwarf hamster and couls fit under my door so i thought it would be impossible to find him. I looked under the couch and my heart stopped when i saw him un-moving on a bug trap. I dragged it out and started to cut the bug paper and he finally started moving. I couldnt wash him because it wkuld kill him if he got wet. So after A LOTTTT of work. I finally got him out. He was weak, thirsty, hungry, and terrified. After a few days he was still tainted yellow from peeing on himself. But after a bit he was fine. He has passed but not because of this reason, he just got old. But Thank goodness i found him in time or he may have died sooner. Please be careful when getting rid of these. 😢❤❤

A stray rolled into to house covered in mousetrap glue.. she was so terrified.. we did get all the glue off her.. but it’s not okay that people don’t take one extra step to help save them from so much trauma..

This is why glue traps of any kind are now outlawed and are very illegal to use here in the UK they were outright banned last year

Glue traps are very inhumane. Idk why they're not banned. Yes they're effective but they literally starve mice/rats to death or have them die of dehydration/exhaustion not to mention in instances like this where other animals get trapped in them, too. I've seen snakes, birds, baby rabbits, kittens, and lizards all stuck in glue traps.

A message for everyone. Before throwing anything in the trash like: old knife, something that sticks, and pieces of glass. Think twice and protect it by putting a tape or something that doesn't cause a problem for stray animals. If you put something that doesn't cause a problem for Animals, Street animals are fine❤ And finally, Always protect stray animals and take care of them!❤
