You're obviously not a real tech channel, or else you'd understand WHO this product is for. The PS Portal is an amazing product. Especially if you're the type of person who doesn't always want to be stuck to a large screen playing PS5 games but doesn't want to play on a shitty phone screen.

Maybe it's a U.S issue that I've noticed with problems, I only have 70gb with Sky here in the U.K and works flawlessly with no latency and it's on WiFi not even a wired connection, as said maybe it's a U.S internet infrastructure issue?

What helped me was hard wiring the ps5, turning off 120hz and changing the ps5 setting to display in 1080p… Honestly, it works better than I thought it would, I was skeptical af with the streaming tech. I’d say just don’t play competitive games on it. Once i understood the notion that its just a controller with a screen and not a seperate gaming device, it immediately turned into my favorite piece of technology of all time Haptics too good, sceen too good, ergonomics too good, latency aint even that bad Ur loss nerd

Just ordered one too. Accept it for what it is for use around the house or in bed & it's perfect. With most people having iPad or whatever with bigger screens, who cares about watching Netflix on this thing LoL. Why would I surf the internet on this thing? Why would I want to only use it as a standalone controller with my PS 5? Wired headphones are still widely available so who cares about that either? The first month's video reviews showed everyone exactly what it was so why are people still acting surprised? This thing is going to get a lot of use from me because I accept it for what it is instead of complaining about what it is not. Game on 👍

Sorry, the problem with the Portal is that it's not meant for everyone. But for who it's made, they love it. It's a niche product. People who don't need it hate it! That doesn't make it a bad product. The reason it doesn't have a random Bluetooth headset support is because every bluetooth headset has a different version of Bluetooth. And ensuring the sound quality remains top notch means restrictions.

My Protal worked on and off, I returned it with in 2 weeks. I ordered a Steam Deck oled 3 mounts later. My Steam games and PS remote play.

I have a legion go also.Some people don’t understand its stupid to buy a portable device like this thats only used for remote play.I have a device that can play ps5,series x switch,pc,emulation etc.The only people buying this are hardcore Sony fans who buy anything with a playstation logo on it

Bought the Portal and i love it, Never liked the backbone plus my phones battery was getting so’ hot, and my phone is for texting and picking up calls 😂, so’ i love my PS Portal , just hotspot and go…

I've had the PlayStation portal for about 2 weeks now worked okay at first had to mess around some settings Make sure my Wi-Fi was running okay after the newest update a few days ago definitely been running excellent. and if you want the sound core VRP 10 Bluetooth with dongle just plug it into your PlayStation 5 directly

Its ok for me. The problem isnt necessarily the portal but, you need GREAT internet to play away from home and that's my issue.

Not to sound harsh, but Sony should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for this thing. Wii U did it better. I understand the logic, but for $200, this thing should work flawlessly. I got one a few days ago, and the stick drift is awful, and when I try to scroll down a menu with the directional pad it acts like the buttons are stuck and it scrolls too far up or down. If anyone has a fix for this, please share, I have the current update and even completely reset it and it still does it.

Sounds like connection issues. Try optimizing your ps5 and portal wifi to make sure you're not experience lag which feels like stuck buttons and drift

Honestly i was super skeptical and hated the idea of this portal. I barely like remote play on the backbone , the quality sucked and was super uncomfortable. I bought this yesterday and blew me away! Make sure you connected to 5ghz .the quality is unbelievable and i have been playing non stop, i even returned my ROG ally , the graphics are much better on the portal.

Normally when I do Remote Play on my iPad, it's pretty good. But yesterday it lagged so much that I couldn't use it at all. I had to go upstairs to my PS5 and play directly (I was trying to play in the same house, just 1 floor below, so the distance wasn't an issue). I don't know what the issue was, but the Remote Play yesterday was really bad.

I put mine in the box too. I don't mind the low bitrate streaming all that much, but the constant stutter is just not acceptable. I tried two different router setups, hardwired the PS5, port forwarding and lots of other tricks, but nothing solved it. Unless and until Sony fixes this issue, it's a no go for me. Unfortunately, it seems Sony won't even bother looking at the issue.

Love mine, no connection issues with standard WiFi in my home and my mobile hotspot. For £200 its a great bit of kit.

Mine is fantastic no latency works flawlessly, I have noticed that most of Issue's are owner's in the U.S I'm in the U.K and I don't know anyone here with problems, maybe the Amarican internet is designed differently, I only have 70gb here and no hard wired connection WiFi only and works great 👍

The PS Portol is another Sony pile of garbage. You have remote Play which you can use on any phone tablet or PC. PS Portall can't do online streaming da, cloud streaming no. no Bluetooth,, and can't use on demand apps. portal has old WiFi 5 ps5 has WiFi 6 da. To Sony fanboy s. It's £200 pile of crap, Use your phone ect you already have.
