Although Brodie doesn't have ADHD like Beau, he still has PLENTY of energy (5 year old boy, duh) and also has been nicknamed "Destructo Dorman" because he loves to smash things, break things, kick things, rip things apart... you get the idea. So, I know! Let's give him a giant plastic mallet and let him run around in a store full of glass! Great plan! (Spoiler: nothing broke, I'm just being dramatic)
I found GREAT things on this shopping trip so maybe sweet little Destructo is actually my good luck charm! He's learning how to pick out some good things to resell, too!

Brodie is adorable. Those are definitely chopstick holders. The blue and white ones are beautiful but I think the smaller ones in the first bag you found may be older and more valuable. Fingers crossed you do really well.😊

Japan ceramics are either knife or chopstick rests as it is considered rude to rest your chopsticks or knife on the edge of your plates/bowls in most parts of Japan. I believe ramen may be the exception but not sure. Edit: those scoop shaped baskets could be for washing fruit/vegs. I’ve seen something similar in documentaries explaining traditional and current food preparation practices in Northern Africa 🤔

Nice haul, Jamie! The little things you found are chopstick rests. I've found a bag of them at GW before also, but they were eggplants and stamped Japan. I ended up selling them on Etsy and they went quick.

They are chopsticks holders. Good find. The GW by me does not give out coupons for donating. Lately I've been donating at Restore. I like what their money goes to. The gazelle is not my style but it is gorgeous. I've bought bags of dinosaurs for my grandson and one had a random farm animal in it. Keep doing these thrifty quickies please.

Love his shirt and I like the tooth fairy story. Every angel will now be the tooth fairy 🧚‍♂️ The crane chopstick holder represents the origami crane. They are a symbol of peace, love and hope during hard times. My department made 1000 cranes for 9-11. They hung up in our Commons area on campus. Now we have a curtain of them in an office window and the rest are in a huge box in my office
