But then author started pulling locks out his ass for every girl to have, making the whole concept even more moronic that it already was. Then suddenly all of them started having significant childhood events with Raku even though it was not even hinted at the beginning... And suddenly the worst girl of the bunch is the winner. This was romance gaslighting, the manga. Terrible honestly.

This anime annoyed me to no end, 2 seasons and an ova. He doesn't unlock the locket, he doesn't pick one of the three girls. I don't count the blonde cause all she does the whole time is beat the snot out of him for crap that either isn't his fault, or that she caused. Rather than call her on her abusive crap he just stands there like a deer in headlights going dur. I understand the time and effort in making an anime, but come on really.
