I will be praying for all of you. I retired about 8 years ago as a Medical Assistant for a primary care practice, and was blessed to be able to help folks get some similar issues untangled. I have noticed that most of the folks that came after me don't particularly care to put out that kind of effort (admittedly I did take some heat from management for spending too much time on things, but I looked at it as a kind of ministry).

Yes, it used to be about the patients. Now it’s about the bottom line. I also used to work in health care. I had a 92% productivity requirement placed upon me. The facility retired me in 2019, thinking it was the worst thing to happen to me. Little did I understand the Father had a plan for my life that I didn’t envision. Oh, about that 92%, I would clock out and continue to work because that is what the patient needed. I used to say that working for this third party at a rehab facility was like working for satan. If people don’t have an advocate for medical care then sadly they are at huge risk of not getting what they need. Praying for this family fervently. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I had a similar issue with my daughter, but luckily I lived an hr. from NY Presbyterian Hospital who did an awesome job. 6 surgeries in total. I'll pray for your daughter...🙏🏼

You are so right! When I reached the age of about 50 I noticed that the doctors were treating me differently! All of a sudden I became the hypochondriac old woman even though I hardly ever went to the doctor! It’s sad!

We know HIS grace is more than sufficient for us & is always there when we ask . HEAVENLY FATHER , we lift Grace up to YOU in what seems like an impossible situation . But we know nothing is impossible for YOU , our CREATOR , OUR STRENGTH , OUR HEALER . LORD , send YOUR mighty angels into this situation to bring about miracles & to cut through all of the system's red tape . I am a nurse who has had no insurance and then recently got corporate insurance with a $12000 deductible. There is an associated of doctors and surgeons who support direct primary care and not the insurance model. If they would free up the HSA for those without insurance so we have an investment tool tax free to save up for emergencies, allow families to be on health insurance plans that cover only emergencies, it gives a choice than paying higher premiums every month with a lousy deductible. Once government entered healthcare and the church left it, we have a policy for everything. I have to worry more about customer service, dei in the workplace than my clinical skills. I am actually having to go to a class today to learn deescalation skills with patients, families, and coworkers. 4 hours of my time to learn crises intervention skills. Our system creates frustration only to have to take a class on how to deescalate. Prayers always for your Grace. I am too, a parent of an adult with high functioning autism. His roadmap is different then your daughters, but I know frustration, government policy, and lack of opportunity. Go with God in His mercy.

Unbelievable Brad, I see it as well and I don't even have any problems. My mother is in a nursing home and I wanted her ViT D checked because I know low VIT D = a low immune system and the answer I got was "EVERYONES Vit D is low in here and your mother is on Comfort care" and I said "that's right and I want my mother to be comfortable by not being sick, that will make me comfortable as well". He ended up giving her a multiple vitamin and she's been doing pretty well. One year ago they gave her a 50% chance of living past 6 months because of weight loss. Well I am happy to say, a family member has been going everyday to feed her lunch (one good meal each day) for the past year and she's gained 25 pounds and she's doing so much better. She is 88 years old and she has Cerebral amyloid angiopathy which is basically a slow brain bleed across her frontal lobe. She will most likely hemorrhage when she passes, but we all promised to take care of her and so we do...gratefully and lovingly. I'm praying for Grace and you and Krista. I'm so sorry you are all going thru this. I'm scared to even go to a doctor these days. You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers. Brad, I know many people feel that same way.

I was born 1 lb. 15 oz. I have Cerebral Palsy, but I'm 67 now. Back then they knew nothing. My sincerest hope and prayer: Dearest God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Please alert all of heaven and all good on earth to help Gracie get the surgery she needs without any more delays. Sincerely, with open hearts and trust we ask that you open the floodgates of healing for Grace and fast pace all her needs to be fulfilled and that she can eat normally do and everything that she has not been able to do. God do not refrain from your goodness and power to assist Grace and her family to persevere through this and come out even better. Take them under your wing, so to speak, and by the power of your vast love and knowledge push through the system that is holding her back from getting what needs to be accomplished. Let doctors not delay the surgery and come full circle to help this young girl. Bless her and her family in every way. I'd like to see You take special notice of this family and how much they love you and are your people. By the precious blood of Jesus let this be so. Amen.

I know exactly what your talking about, I just got my son who incidentally has Cerebral Palsy as well out of the hospital. It took 5 hospitals and a 10 week stay to remove a 14mm kidney stone.

Brad! I am lifting y’all up in Prayer from East Texas. I’m a retired RN (40 years). I have experience in Maternal-Child Health and NICU… and Geriatrics / Rehabilitation Services. My last 6 years in Nursing I was a Case Manager for a major Medicare Advantage program. I am just SO SURPRISED there has NOT been a Case Manager and Advocate working with y’all for Grace’s Care Coordination! I FEEL your Frustration and wish I had some sage advice and resources to share with you! Again…praying for you all

Prayers for Grace and all the family. I worked in health care, cardiology, and all the docs and NPs quit coming to the clinic where I worked. This clinic has a large volume of older people that cant drive to the main clinic in the next state. All these cardiology patients left to figure it out themselves. I pray Grace gets the surgery she needs. GOD bless

It is never ending as a parent. The health care system broke completely in covid. Here in Florida I never thought I'd see the day in a federally funded hospital that doctors can refuse to treat you. They can and do. I have experienced it. So my heart goes out to everyone needing medical care. Because getting true care has become impossible.

Prayers said, and I will continue to pray for Grace and your whole family. I understand going through all the red tape. I had back surgery scheduled within two days and after two, plus years of terrible test completed and paper work, the insurance suddenly canceled it. If it had been my daughter having to have surgery, I can not even imagine the pain and misery. Actually, it has to feel like torture trying your hardest to help her and being blocked with all the negative consequences. May God bring to you a peace that passes all understanding, with inspiration to hold on tight to His promises ! Grace, having loving parents like you both is quite amazing ! I totally understand, I needed neck surgery and my insurance would only approve for part of the surgery, so therefore I couldn't have the surgery, I was prayed for at church and God healed my neck instantly...praying for Grace to have a miracle that she deserves!

Praying for Grace and your family. It can be very disheartening when dealing with the medical system. My husband had an emergency surgery last October and we are still dealing with insurance, billing, etc. He just had a second surgery to correct the first surgery two weeks ago. We are blessed to have benefits and hospitals nearby but the process is slow in getting anything done.

May the Lord shine His face upon your family and lift His mighty arm or strength to intercede on your sweet girl's behalf. Praying for grace for your Grace. Please pray for our sweet granddaughter who is fighting for her little life. She was rushed to ER last Thursday after asperating and is still very sick. She's jusr a month old. Thanks to everyone for prayers for her.

Heavenly Father, we ask that you be with Grace and her parents, that you will line everything up just right for her to get the medical care she needs!
