I guess the wheels supposed to be some sort of fidget thing for while you're waiting in between games I can't think of any other reason why it would be there

these consoles are cursed, im mildly triggered that it takes 3 AAA batteries, my batteries like to charge in pairs so having an odd number is very irritating.
