I know I'm late to watch this but I actually shed a tear for this. My childhood omg. I can't believe only a couple of years ago I went on all of these rides and never knew that it would soon be gone 😢 rip pleasure island

It is sad. Shame its gone. I can understand why though. The park didn't open during the week. Well some weeks during term time.

Good choice of music by the way now every time I hear faded it makes me think of pleasure island 😂😳

I thought it was good choice and fitted well. The hardest thing for me when i make videos with my aircraft is trying to find the best music to put to it. Although i think this fits really well :)

It's so sad we keep losing theme parks. Shows how we are changing more interested in sitting at home with a tablet pc in our hands scrolling through social media and playing rubbish little games instead of going out and socialising properly. We'll have none left at this rate.

Same here. I also blame the media in some ways because of how they are reporting things. Like every time something really low key happens at Alton Towers for example gets reported like its been a massive disaster, Scare mongering if you ask me. With the general public being scared about 'safety' of rides because of the media reporting the way they are. People don't go. Parks don't make money if people don't go, can't pay the bills so they have to close.

its the forever increasing entry price to many theme parks that's causing many of them to close down simply because people cant afford to go to them any more
@chrisjef061200106 жыл бұрын
The upkeep of the rides is costly as well. And some of the smaller companies can't put as much investment like others can like Merlin Entertainments for example. Look what happened at Alton Towers with the incident with The Smiler. It damaged the park and the numbers dropped really low throughout that season. But they have still have put millions of investment into their new ride The Wickerman. Now smaller companies can't just drop that much money on something. If you get what i mean.
