Hi Mao. I want to cover a bra with assuit. The assuit I have is not perfect (it has various size holes) as it's very old and I'm reusing it and I don't have a lot. Do you think ruching it after darning it would be a way of hiding the imperfections and make the repairs less noticeable? Thank you.

Hi Zina! Sorry for my late response!! I haven't had the opportunity to work with assuit, but I'd think ruching the fabric is a great idea to hide imperfections as long as the fabric is strong enough to hold up the gathering. If not, I'd drape the fabric over your bra and pleat it carefully by hand pinning each fold in place :) Davina is a great resource for everything assuit! www.davina.us
