Actually it shows just how creative any individual can be with a single garment. The Madame-T Stole exemplifies what Issey's work is & has always been about: Making clothing an intrinsic part of the wearer, celebrating the space between the cloth & the body that wears it while -- most importantly -- making a design personal & unique that speaks to the wearer & brings them joy. It literally is the reason Miyake-san began making clothes. They create happiness in the wearer.

@@forteboston Lol. Be honest. They butchered his idea. The reaction in the video was ambivalent at best. I say this as a fan of his work. Yet am still able to be objective. Not obsequious.
