타이틀곡 ‘Dejavu’는 뉴이스트 W가 처음 선보이는 라틴 팝 장르의 곡으로, 뉴이스트 W만의 신비로움과 여름에 어울리는 상쾌함을 더했다. 전형성을 벗어나는 구성과 함께 멤버들의 보컬이 주는 독특한 분위기의 멜로디는 듣는 사람의 귀에 계속 맴돌 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 멤버 JR과 백호가 직접 작사, 작곡에 참여해 매번 새로운 시도로 주목받고 있는 뉴이스트 W의 음악적 성장과 함께 한층 넓어진 스펙트럼을 확인할 수 있는 곡이다.
If NU’EST W focused on their own stories in the last album 'W,HERE', in this album, they express four existing stories between previous one and current NU’EST W story. Thanks to it, the new album gives something more than just listening experience as it expresses various colors and outstanding relation between the lyrics and the subject.
The title song ‘Dejavu’ is the first Latin Pop genre NU’EST W presents. NU’EST W’s unique mysteriousness and coolness to go along with summer adds on top of the song,

I absolutely loved it- I especielly love how it builds up in the pre chorus but instead of having the typical edm drop in the chorus they chose a more funky/chill type of drop (which is not something you hear everyday). I've been hearing about nuest and finally gave in when this came into my recommended. I was not disappointed. This is a high quality song; I was really expecting a beat drop, but the chorus in this is so much better. It's good to have variety and not just do dance songs for guaranteed success. This group definitely needs more attention.

I think I can come up with some kind of story analysis this M/V + the lyrics of the song gives me: The whole theme of this title track, 'Dejavu' talks about missing someone/being heart broken. 0:34 We see JR at his desk with a bunch of holographic stickers. It's as if these stickers are meant to prove that something is real. You know how some merchandise has those holographic stickers to prove that item is real rather than fake? He smiles, knowing that his love is perhaps, real. 0:49 We see Baekho dragging what looks like a sword blade across the floor as he walks into a room full of TVs with compasses inside of them. He looks into the TV, hoping to see some sort of sign, but he only sees himself. In the lyrics during this scene he says "Oh yeh, walk backwards in time to the place where you are"... (after Aron's line he continues) "Even if I can't be seen in your memories". These lines show how much he wants to go back in time, even if it means destroying his sense of direction and time (the sword and the compass clocks on the TV). 1:06 ~ 1:16 "Trick the time so even I don't know, stay stuck in this moment Dejavu" 1:44 Ren sits in a bathtub. Clothed. 1:48 A little girl dressed with white and with a crown stands in the doorway, silently watching Ren. This girl could be a figment of their imagination, this song often talks about being stuck in time or going backwards in time, maybe they tried to go back in time too many times to the point where their lover remains in the form of a little girl. 1:58 GOAATTT and Compass watch/clock thing going WILD! We see JR's eyes turn into a goat's eye! JR's eye turning into a goat's eye and the compass watch/clock thing are actually significantly related to each other. "A goat's eyes are square shaped because since goats are classified as prey, they need to have defense both day and night. They don't have vertical slits due to their need to survey their surroundings more accurately." (Thanks Google) 2:14 Baekho walks into a room filled with surveillance cameras, we start to see a compass going wild. "I would be okay with becoming your shadow behind you." Well how are you supposed to be behind someone if a bunch of surveillance cameras are pointing at you? That's right, he can't. He's already lost his sense of direction. 3:03 "In the mirror that only I existed in, I see you" - Basically reflecting on his feeling of already living through an event that's probably only happened in his mind. 3:18 "Because I miss you, I sing, my Dejavu dejavu" Deja vu is a feeling of having "already lived through" something. I feel like this song has some sort of time traveling feel to it, deja vu also means feeling as if a certain event has repeated itself, but you can't exactly remember what it is because it is just a feeling. Each boy in this M/V wants to keep reliving the same feeling again, hence the song name, "Deja Vu". To conclude, I'm absolutely in love with this song. (in love enough with it that I'd actually analyze it HAHA). This is just an analysis, feel free to add more about what this song + M/V meant to you.
