G'day and welcome to the 5lands art in the open plein air competition. In this video follow my journey as I try to get three paintings done in time before the judging of three judges. Last year I got the artist's choice prize. Let's see how I went..

I only get that one spare day a week as I work 12 hours a day normally so it's great to get blessed with this gift of first prize and the best gift of being able to paint. Congrats for another successful year in this event. It is funny as when you finished the first painting and were not thrilled with it , I’m thinking wow , he captured the beautiful mood and with great brush energy. I liked all 3 but number 1 appealed to me the most . Keep up the good work!!👏👏

Excellent work I liked the first painting you captured the sky in one but you could tell you weren't happy(missing your pallet knife) your second painting was brilliant. I would have liked to have seen the 3rd painting if you were not rushed because I like your trees with shadow. Well done Tez. Looked like you had a good day.

Hi Sandra, Thanks so much. Yeah the palette knife makes a world of difference hey for my work and like what you said the paintings were all different adjusting to the situation I was in. Yeah the last one could have been better if I had that bit extra time. Happy painting Sandra 🎨🎨👍

Oh my gosh Tez!!!!! Congratulations!!!! That’s amazing! Great job!!!!! Also- I think you’re great isn’t the brush just as well as the pallet knife. You capture the atmosphere and the mood in all 3 paintings well. I’m always amazed at how patient you are using the pallet knife…that’s something I just hate using! But you capture amazing textures with it. Oh I’m just so happy for you. That’s just amazing!!!

@@PleinAirAdventureswithTezDower I should also add your film inspired me to get out and paint today. I was having a far too lazy Sunday when your you tube film landed. So I packed my stuff and went out on hamstead heath in London today and had a lot of fun using a pallet knife. Thanks for posting.

G'day Nancy, Yeah we did it. I was going for it with at the back of my mind all of the lovely people that follow me here on KZfaq. I couldn't believe it to be honest that it happened that way. Yeah the first painting had a real mood to it and I thought the Second painting had good tones as well. Yeah it was a great event and let's see how I go next year hey. G'day Brandon, Thanks Mate and much appreciated. Yeah that's right and I think it's what they like coz a couple of times I've looked deeper into some winner's in prizes and checked out the judges and that style is the judges cup of tea. I got the right judges for my style maybe. Cheers Mate🎨🎨👍
