Today, I take you on the road again to the Adirondack Live Steamers 40th Anniversary meet. Quite a few steam engines showed up for this milestone, and there was even a stationary steam engine display. Enjoy the show!

The CNR green and yellow A units are owned by Scott Sidusky of Weare, NH. That is Scott with his son. The locomotives are early RRSC units.

What was going on with that last engine in the outro? Seems like it was at its breaking point

The load was equal to the grade. Hard pulling until it lost traction and spun the drivers. Then it caught traction and more hard pulling until it finally stalled - the load equalled the grade. The more the load drags back, the louder the exhaust ‘bark’.

As well as could be expected for this time of year. There's a lot of track maintenance going on. Mostly tie replacement and track resurfacing with a little rail replacement.
