Hi! Thank you so much for creating this backing track! I just stumbled across it today and I was instantly hooked! I almost never comment or subscribe to anything, but for this, I could not stay silent, and I had to subscribe! 🤙 I was a drummer for 30yrs (gigging at local clubs as a hobby in the 90’s), and then gravitated toward guitar in the last 15. As a prog drummer, I have always been drawn to odd time signatures and complex arrangements, and as my lead guitar skills have improved,I’ve been searching for tracks that are of that structure. This track is just…. quite simply, fantastic. I just lost myself playing lead for the last hour once I settled into the pocket of that beat. More of the same please! Just outstanding work my friend. Please keep it up. Cheers!

Hi Tim, great stuff. I love prominent drums. I think pristine drums tracks are critical. Melody mustn't always take a back seat to rhythm though, right?

I am sure you sounded great playing over it! 🤘All of the chords come from the parent key of A Major, but you can think of the whole thing as D Lydian, F# Minor etc. It is up to you! 🙂

Yes or 7/8, depending on how you like to subdivide. For discussing the intricacies of the grooves you will have to consult the mighty @ChrisAllisonDrums as he is played them! (I got the drum grooves from his GGD Groove Pack.) Cheers! 🤘
