@@frederickkoomson3910, I’ll concede that the internet has leveled the playing field as far as information goes. However, contrary to the popular saying, knowledge is not power, it is the judicious use of knowledge that is power. It’s not as if we have been in the dark all these while. Our people have been going abroad, studying, and supposedly acquiring knowledge, but alas to very little positive effect. I am not going to gear up my enthusiasm of this upcoming generation of leadership just yet. For while, economically, they seem to be a tad savvier than the current and past leadership, the needle has not really moved politically. Our politics is still eminently tribal, and I have been around long enough to see tribalism ruin it for many a promising country.

@@manisthemeasure2205 Facts! But like I said the "average" young African not the privileged few it used to be in the past.. I was shocked the other day when a group of young people from a remote village in Ghana showed how accurately informed they are about their history and the world today.. Mass education is always a precursor to the development of a people.. The fluid and constant interaction of African youth with other youth around the world thru the Internet's "social media" is slowly eliminating the old ethnic lines and rather building a global identity since most of these young people identify with popular culture like a favorite artist, genre, movie etc more than anything else unlike the past.. And so many are actively engaged in eliminating these differences behind the scene on daily basis.. But the real fact on the ground is most youth don't care about this stuff and are rather too busy concerned with making money and taking better care of themselves and their families ; Something almost every youth in this world aspires to and identity.. The youth of the west is very much aware of the mistakes of their forefathers and most of them are willing to correct them either out of guilt or a sense of duty and also out of the shame of the defeat of their most renowned and authoritative scholars by the contemporary African scholars and Scientists in the likes of Dr Diop and Obenga who has thoroughly proved beyond any doubt the ingenious of Africans, their place in history and contributions to all major academic disciplines of modern civilizations. This leaves them no choice but to abandon the old highly racist attitude towards African excellence and rather forced to acknowledge and further engage more African minds in Scientific discovery which the world economies desperately need currently with all its deliberate stagnation for decades now. Its either that or they risk being left behind the economic race of the "new world" being spearhead by China with all its ever increasing development ties with Africa. All of these facts are becoming common knowledge by the day due to the internet and its only a matter of time before change is demanded and forced by the common people.. Not just by Africans but by the Western population as well.. Ase

It could just as well be like the de-colonization turned neo-colonial, except now the union is crushing dissent across the continent, since coup's etc are redundant. Centralized, consolidated power, is detached from the general population, making leaders typically prone to other interests. PLO is a gift to Africans. We need to protect him. He is here to educate the Africa populace. Yes, all he says is true & you can fact-check them. His contribution mainly goes to the youth of Africa who will never get this history in one book. Any person who wants to know how the continent got to this point, that person must read a lot of books with serious research to come close to what we are getting from this African son in the name of PLO. Remember, he is a distinguished lawyer from his home nation of Kenya. That nation's leaders won't listen to him either. The key to Africa problem rests on the disunity of it's citizens. But disunity comes from not trusting each other. In this scenario, each nation not comfortable dealing with the other. When it comes to nation building, there are 3 blocks that each has to deal with. And these are, Political, Economical & Social. Those before us fought for Africa nations to be free, that is gain independence. To this day, all Africa nations are free. The people govern themselves. Well done to those who came before us. But the Economic fight has been a struggle for all the nations, with just 2 or 3 classified as doing well. But not on consistent basis. Yes, the second block required some intellect which to me, we have it now, but the interruption by outsiders has played a big role in our troubles. But that too comes from not really loving the continent as we should. Africans are not patriotic & we turn to give in to outside influences either through bribes, greed or whatever to go against what can be good for our society as a whole. African society has neglected the third block--- "Social" in our struggle to make life better for us. It looks to me the the second block--"Economic" & the third block-- "Social" should have been tackled together. If done that way, some of the bribe, greed & whatever could have subsided for us to have seen a better breed of Africans. Remember, it's the 3 "blocks", the political, the economical & the social. It was ok for the pioneers to fight for the political by itself but the economical & social should have been tackled together. Separating the last 2 blocks is Africa's delimna.

I Love This Speech. At the end of the day, It's about money. This is why all outside countries don't want Africa to have one currency for the entire continent of Africa. This is done to destabilize The African Dollar and or Currency. First establish an African Currency then all of your money problems will be over and everyone knows this. Then Everyone will have no other choice but conduct business equally with Africa as they do with other countries around the world. And This Is How It Should Be. Thank You for This Great Information that you have been giving me. And I Will Continue My Studies on the African Economy and Currency Solution.

Nigeria for example is struggling with its 400 languages, can you imagine a single sovereign Africa with over 5400 languages. Between 1960 to 2021 how many of those languages do you think would have survived? The Monrovia group's decision has preserved a depth of diversity that we should all be grateful for.

@@oogdhugee_3072 actually, Nigeria has over 500 languages, and the only diversity preserved was diversity in official languages which are less than 10 on the continent. The ethnic diversity was not in any way preserved by that agreement. African people will speak their languages irrespective of the government presiding over them, they've done this for millennia. Another reason the diversity is so robust is the wide range of climate types and land forms on the continent. This forces groups to behave differently even when they have a common goal. In short, Africa's diversity isn't going anywhere. It would've been far more efficient for the continent to unite and use a common official language that would enhance internal cooperation, while in the background, local dialects inevitably continue to operate.

@@ggvideonow1 United states of Africa sounds great. But globally people tends to flock to more productive lands, and especially cities. Leaving the rural areas deserted, unproductive and under developed. That is why Johannesburg and Cape Town are so popular with migrant workers from all over Africa. Including Congo, Malawi, Nigeria and Somalia. This is not bad for the cities, although it can put strain on the infrastructure and lead to exploitation. But this is very bad for the donor countries that loses their productive citizens.
