Well in the past, ginagamit ng mga mayayaman noon yung apelyido ng mas influential or older family. For example, yung Mama niya came from notable family but his dad is just a merchant. Kung sino yung mas may status yun yung i-inherit na surname ng angkan nila.

My daughter was assigned to report Sergio Osmeña and I helped her on her research last month. Takang taka ako bat kulang sa biography sya at walang middle name na nakalagay. Now it make sense na. Thank you DNA science for this. May closure na ang pagkatao ng ating former president kahit wala man sya ngayon to witness this big news. Most of the older generation Cebuanos really believe that Osmenas and the Go clans (Gokongwei, Gotianuy, Gaisano) are cousins because that's what has been known ever since. Now the truth has finally surfaced with the help of modern technology. Wow, a plot worthy for the movie screen. I'm sure movie producers are now on their heels to get the rights from the Osmenas and Sansons to produce a movie adaptation of the story.

@@kawaiipotatoes7888 the rumor back then was that his father was Pedro Gotiaoco of Cebu. Gotiaoco is the common ancestor of Gokongwei (owners of Cebu Pacific), Gotianuy (founder of Filinvest), Gaisano (owners of Gaisano malls) and Go (owner of Univ. of Cebu.)

At dahil sa mga sinaunang marites ginawa ni Osmenia ang lahat para magkaron ng kapangyarihan at matigil na ang pag marites sa buhay nilang mag ina siguro naman nagsisi ang nanay niya sa pakiki apid pero nagpasalamat din dahil may Sergio na dumating sa buhay niya at ang nanay niya hindi ipinagpilitan ang sarili para kilalanin ng lalaki ang anak niya in public.di tulad ngayon ang mga kabit matatapang haha

Na-trigger talaga ako dun sa mga comments sa facebook na kesyo nga daw wala silang mapapala sa ganitong content kasi matagal nang patay, na wala daw silang pake kung sino pa ang tunay na ama kasi hindi naman daw nila kaano-ano o hindi naman daw sila yayaman, at may pabirong nagsabi pa na bakit daw inungkat yung nakaraan ayon tuloy nalaman na nasalisihan. Like seriously???
