I've been waiting for this video myself! Last year you helped me believe it or not going into my first year snow plowing! The basics and ropes I guess! We had a little snow about a week ago here in Ohio but not enough to go out and push or salt! I'm waiting on the snow forecast lol!!!! But I do completely agree on having to wash your trucks just about Everytime you go out! Well we do! One of the trucks is a 2016 chevy dump and what you mean little crevices is true! Our oil dipstick completely rusted all the way out and a few other things along there! It's a plow and salt truck so in due time those area that don't get much attention will rust and break! I appreciate all the videos you put on stan! Keep them coming! Good luck this winter!

Tracks vs. tires...very important to consider foot controls vs. hand controls. A Bobcat S650 with foot controls is unbeatable. I operate a S650 foot with dirt tires and a T595 foot and the S650 performs well above the T595 pushing snow.

When I worked at perficut. We did commercial sites downtown. And I can totally understand the reason behind switching people out of machines. The only thing is operators get too attached with their machines and they say that it’s their machine. Operators started taking keys home with them or locking the doors so no one would get in their machine.

Stan. You need to test the Kovaco Elise 900 Skid Steer Loader. It is all-electric with either a 5 or 8 hour run time between charges depending on battery pack size. The 900 has a lift capacity of 900 kg (1984 pounds). There is a larger version with a lift capacity of 1400 kg (3086 pounds). It would be interesting to get your take on the difference between these and your current skid steers - work capacity, usability, cost, etc.

@@Dirtmonkey I know that cold weather and batteries don't play well together, but that might actually be a good reason to arrange a demo of the skid steer. It would really show whether a battery-powered implement would have any value in snow removal work. It wouldn't hurt to see if the manufacturer would be willing to put their 'name on the line' in less than optimal conditions.

We got our first snow October 30, about 4"-5", 32 degrees then switch to light rain. Cleaned up nice. But we got more than expected. They threw me into a plow truck. First time using a V plow. Worked good.

my first plow truck had a big hole in the floor on the passneger side. I had to plow with t he windows down. used that truck for 2-3 seasons before I could upgrade. Keeping it clean keeps the rust at bay.
