my mom has this same thing! blistex and carmel both have medications and chemicals in them that make them addictive. my mom stopped blistex after years but still needs to use spearmint flavored chapstick for the same effect without the addiction. she buys the biggest boxes possible and never doesn’t have it on, just a heads up! maybe try to go a little bit without it because although chapstick isn’t bad for you or anything, you don’t want a lifelong addiction to it

Just a heads up, Blistex isn't a lip balm like Chapstick is. It is a medicated lip ointment used to treat very cracked and damaged lips. I have some and only use it when my lips are so dry they're peeling. Otherwise, I use a lip balm or butter.

I'm pretty sure the "chapstick" in the picture is actually for fever blisters.

Such a crazy story! Along with Blistex being addictive, if you use chapstick too much your lips will no longer be able to produce any moisture by themselves. So in the case where there’s no way for you to get chapstick, your lips won’t stay moist for very long at all.

It's like a really good chapstick. Okay does it somewhat burn a little bit? Does it look like toothpaste and give a white cast? Yes, but does it fix your lips? Yes

i have the same thing! when i was 5 or 6 i would lick my lips and they got super chapped, ever since then i ALWAYS have chapstick on me. no. matter. what. i just can’t go without it, it always has to be on my lips. i thought i was the only one!

This is me except my mom put me on it when I was little and my lips got chapped now I can’t stop using it I’ve tried so hard but my lips get so chapped after I stop using it for more than a day.

I'm literally the EXACT same! I can not go without chapstick. I have probably 20 or 30 chapsticks in all the places I need so that I will never be with out. My bathroom. My car. My purse. My wallet. My bedroom. My kitchen. My living room. My office. My boyfriends truck. In every single one of my jackets or coats.... I can't go an hour without. My lips are so used to blistex that if it doesn't have any they are so dry. I know it's probably not that good but ya...
