Something different this time.
We visit a biogas farm called Vayu Mitra to learn how the farm generates Biogas.
Biogas can convert the hidden energy in our food waste to Methane gas which can be used directly as a cooking and heating fuel.
We also speak to the founder Mr Priyadarshan who has installed Biogas setups in 200 locations.
Why is this important?
Just like oil, which is used by pollution vehicles, for cooking gas cylinders, India historically relies on LPG imports from Middle East suppliers, particularly Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait. LPG imports from three countries accounted for 76% of total imports in 2018 and 2019.

*Awesome... the smelly part of the garbage is the wet food & vegetable waste... once this digester is used then it solves the worst part of garbage handling.* This is very good method. BioGas Digesters is best & easy to use on farms. By using it in building he has been very innovative. *Its basically free energy. We can drive our CNG car on this gas too* by compressing the gas into a cylinder. Cow Dung & Human dung are much more effective than just food waste but then people have a mental block on using such gas for cooking.

I've got 1 IBC biogas digester . I sprayed with spray foam for insulation. During the winter my systems sleep becasue of the cold climate.

My ibc tote biogas digester like yours makes a good amount of biogas. I run a gas generator off my biogas plus i hooked my biogas bag up to a gas grill. I will never need propane again.

Do a garden on the terrace everyone will come see appreciate, learn, encourage and advertise at the same time. Can sell the slurry and fertilisers to the houses back for theirs plants and regain the initial cost before the system life ends.

It's 14kg not 14 litre . Lpg stands for liquified petroleum gas means the gas is compressed until it becomes liquid that's why it has less volume compared to uncompressed biogas .
