Hi all, welcome back to the channel, this week I thought it would be interesting to show you inside my van. The way I have it set out works for me, let me know in the comments what you guys think of how I've set it up, appreciate the amazing continued support of the channel.

Very relatable Tom 😂. I bought my current van XL Dispatch and haven’t found the time to rack it yet so I have tubs and boxes left right and centre.

Love the van tom i set mine up almost the same and iam a plumber in the usa and really i seen nothing really different about the tools from the tools used in the us but i love the videos and watch you alot you have showed me some things that makes the job easy and i been a plumber 20 years

Now that's what you call a van that shows it's is used by a busy tradesman and not polished and dust free. I was asked once do I never dust my van out, my reply was it's a working van and not a show van.

Your van is spot on, everything to hand in order of frequency of use and as mutch crammed in as possible. I've had quite a few work vans and always worked on a similar principle, if you can get to what you use most often easiest then like wise its easy to put it back in the same place.

Thanks for the support Paul, I carry a fair but but rarely need to leave a job to get stuff, it works for me and I tend to get more jobs done in a day

Great video Tom on your van set up showing it as it is like you say it’s a 7 day a week working van Not like a lot of trades on social media showing their all clean and shinny in the back set ups.i think as long your van works for you that’s all that matters👍 great video looking forward to the next one

Thanks mate, the vans a work horse and it serves the purpose that I need it for just fine, I like to show things how they are, not just something that's been set up for the camera, I am glad you are enjoying the content and the support is greatly appreciated

Packed van! I love how you know where all the kit you need can be found real quick. The scumbags target trades vans near me and steal everything in seconds, the Police say go to a car boot sale and you see loads of nicked stuff!

My dad's van got turned over the other week, police said it's too common a crime to investigate, I take all my tools off each night now, there are way to many theftxs and it's only getting worse

That’s a real plumbers van Tom, reminds me of my days as a plumber, used to try and keep on top of it but when your busy it’s difficult, got to say your not short of bits, but if that saves time then why not. Take care👍🚽

"My back doors a bit messy as it's done a day's work..." Wasn't sure what channel I was on there for a moment. 😂 You can always tell a well used van, not pretty but tidyish and everything to hand. Interesting to see what you've got on stock. How did you build it up, just over time as you got your business going?

Thanks mate, I just built my tools and stock up over the years, I was thrown in at the deep end at 17 when I got my drivers licence, sent out doing jobs and you kind of just know what you need to carry stock wise by past experience, I generally have what I need to complete most basic plumbing repairs on board the van

You need a larger van Tom.Last year i went from a nissin primastar to a mwb fiat ducato.The extra space was fantastic.To be honest im going to go to a lwb in a year or two.Like you i am extremely busy so carry a huge amount of spares so its extremely rare for me to leave a job to go to the merchants. Only negative for using a large van is restricted access into some properties. Thanks for the tour...great to see a proper work van.

Thanks mate, I would have likes a slightly larger van but the transit custom seemed best value for money at the time, it drives nice and not to bad on fuel, I hate leaving a job to go and get bits, it really gets frustrating just driving backwards and forwards to the merchants all day

Proper grafters van mine was like that but I knew where everything was....just got a new van 3 weeks ago with 12miles on the clock it's at 2000 now but I've kept it as organized as I can......keep the vids coming lad always entertaining 👍

Nothing better than that new van smell, I try and keep it organised but in the winter when your cold and wet and just want to get home sometimes things just get chucked in the back, thanks for watching

Need to get yourself some deadlocks for the van takes them seconds and they will nick the lot had mine done cost me 2000 to replace everything

Sorry to hear about your van mate, I unload my tools every night as there have been no end of tool thefts in the last few weeks around here, my dad's got done a couple of weeks ago, police said "it's too common a crime to investigate". I will look into getting some deadlocks though

I’m looking at getting a 2024 plate lwb custom Does the racking that goes under the passenger seat for the copper pipe go in the footwell or stay under the seat

It stays under the seat, both the middle and passenger seats easily fold forward so you can get lost bits of pipe out

Makes me laugh, every van you get you rack out different. Any van that does it’s job and earns you some money will not look like a BT van! They have enough time to do tidy! Tradesmen work and know where everything is even if nobody else does!😂

My Mrs always organises my van out, removes everything and hoovers it out, she even strips down my power tool boxes and hoovers them out lol... your van looks a mess, but I bet you put your hand on what ever you may need and know where it is in your van.. do you work for a company or self employed? Do you have any lads working for you?Great video mate

You summed it up, its a bit of a mess but I know where things are and that's the main thing. I work for my family's construction company, I look after the plumbing and heating side of things, I have a few plumbers who I look after

Your probably right mate, I've generally always got the part on the van though so it does save diesel not having to go backward and forwards to the merchants, thanks for watching

I had considered a van vault but to be honest how and where its parked I consider it to be as safe as possible, I have set driveway alarms around the van so if anything goes near it at night they sound next to my bed, when I get round to finishing my house the van will go inside the garage, thanks for watching and commenting mate, it is appreciated

@@TheMaintenancePlumber They had some in at the local builders merchants once, I did consider buying one of the sliding ones but thought it was a lot of money for what it was, it probably would have been an excellent edition to the van though
