The NEW BEST Prismatic Warlock Build In Destiny 2! It's Insane..
So I normally don't label A build because I think builds perform wildly different depending on the content that your doing and what your goals are.
But after running Grandmasters for the past 3 days. I think this Prismatic Warlock Build might be the best build in all of destiny 2 and I want to explain why that is. Whether your in easy activities, or in the hardest like Grandmasters. Whether your solo or with a group
This Build straight up annihilates everything
in your path. I go into this Grandmaster Solo and clear these first 3 rooms with Champions and Mini bosses in 4 minutes and 40 seconds, that's with the travel time to get to the rooms as well.
And the crazy thing is that this build can get so much better because you can use the base exotic and it will perform amazing but if your RNG doesn't suck like mine, you could add a god roll exotic class
item that would make the build that much better which I didn't have unfortunately. Your just seeing the base
Exotic In action.
Now I'm just waiting for all your comments telling me you have the God Roll Class Item and make me feel
even worse over here.
You have the Best Super in the Game right now and you get it in less than a minute with ease. You have the best Transcendent Form since our grenade is essentially a beefed up Duskfield Grenade and shines
in end game content and can just lock down champions and areas for your team. We also get our transcendent in less than 10 seconds thanks to our exotic weapon choice and its overload! Then at base we have 3 melee charges right, when were transcendent you can basically throw them out infintently then in our Super we have a infinite melee as well and were buffing all of these melees at the same time, no matter what form your in and which one your using.
Now your ability rotation and how we take advantage of a ton of passive damage is what makes this Build shine because how much damage you deal is what will recharge our Transcendent and our super so fast for us.

Heads up for this build, if you have star eater scales try not to pop super if your helion is up as ignitions from the super are enhanced by star eaters, but if helion is scorching it’ll overwrite your increased damage as the original source is not part of your super

The thing is, though, Thorn has nothing to do with necromancy. It more has to do with cannibalism, in a way, since Yor devoured other Guardian's Light after killing them with a Light devouring weapon, that was Thorn. It's okay though, it's not like you're the only Guardian to either confuse or not understand the lore.

for anyone wondering, the total poison damage done by spirit of the necrotic is about 45% that of the necrotic grip exotic. so it's about half as strong, but considering you get a whole other exotic perk, seems like a pretty solid trade-off

I've been a casual player since D1 and never really looked up or paid much attention to builds. But this season I've tried all your warlock builds and they've changed the game for me. Love them all and can't wait try this one. I was using an ok Volatile build prior to this season. Love that it makes everything just go boom. Wish there was a good prismatic volatile build.

I am glad you like them and thank you for watching Yes for sure! I think the best way to use it is with Combination blow because it's just infinite dodge/clones. You would slot it in to the same Punchy hunter build I did as my second video this season instead of renewals

@salemfnix1824 only spawns one clone per initial dodge and doesn't spawn more on multi dodge. You have wait for your dodge to get off cool down for another clone to spawn.

So I don't have any godroll necrotic class item rolls yet. BUT I did have a very interesting one. Necrotic/Verity. Which turns the exact weapon loadout you were using into a neutral monster. Indebted Kindness with Voltshot can stack up Death Throes so quickly on a trash mob. Which makes Storm grenades hit SO hard. Been running these fragments Dominance (duh) Grace (duh) Awakening (lets you make ionic traces with Indebted Kindness and Storm nades, feeding all ability regen) Hope (having basically permanent uptime on Devour, makes it so you get your class ability and Hellion back about every 10 seconds) Courage (gives you melee/grenade wombo combo and also lets you get bonus super damage if you use your melee before popping super) But now I really wanna make space for Facet of Dawn because of this video. Relying on orbs and the artifact mod for Radiant is lowkey annoying.

On my first exotic class item drop I got Necrotic Grips + Star Eaters. That was literally the exact roll I was looking for and it is so busted - not just for add clear but for dps as well. Will definitely be trying this build out with that class item.

I tried to do a similar build to this a few days ago, but Spirit of Necrotic was stopping the strand melee from triggering Unraveling Rounds or Devour. Might have to try it again.

I have the same issue. Makes Spirit of Necrotic sort of unsuable in nightfalls etc. Thought I was going crazy, I've used Arcane Needle to pierce barrier ever since Final Shape dropped - and now apparently it's not even supposed to?? Devour is also very unstable.

@@not_hanky_ou I think I figured it out. It won't work with anything that requires power melee final blows because the poison is being recognized as the final blow. So it unravels the target, but won't work with the fragment that gives Unraveling Rounds or count as an ability kill for Devour.

I ran a very similar build (no arc grenade, bleak watcher instead of hellion) for the whole legendary final shape campaign. I was astounded at how well necrotic grips paired with prismatic. Made Final Shape the easiest legendary campaign I ran yet. Basically I could just chuck melees and then run around trying not to die while adds died and it recharged. Great video. I feel like lingering DOT just outright gives more transcendence. Outbreak ramps this up quickly too. As well as the new area denial gl ramping your dark bar in no time

Also syntho does not increase the dot of the melee. It does take the melee damage from 24k to 65k. Might help proccing devour. I would suggest to go for star eater between syntho and star eater

Cool, I was just looking for a reason to grind the Thorn catalyst. And as much as I'm enjoying my Getaway Artist + Hellion combo, they don't really leave a lot of room for your guns to do anything but supplement your damage.

Thanks for making awesome interesting builds that aren't the 70000th Getaway build lol. I'm still using the khostov build all the time (albeit with stag/stareaters instead of Matadoxia) and I absolutely love it. Given that short that was going around showing the area denial grenade launcher recharging the darkness meter super quick, it seems a DoT centered approach is perfect for the build, I'm excited to play around with it!

what i find really funny and also grants dark transcendence with super is that the incinerator snaps apply necrotic grip, which should also increase single target damage by quite a bit

The biggest issue with this build is that I can't get devour to proc with the gloves on

Because the Kinetic Poison is killing it instead of the actual melee Ability. It will not proc Devour because Poison is not an Ability. But if the actual Needle kills upon the initial impact (aka Tangle spawn), it will proc Devour.

Plunder this is the strongest build I’ve ever used on warlock prismatic. If they fix the bug to necrotic, it’s over. Get away artist is fantastic but this, my friend. This is a birth of a meta. More people need to try this. 25 minute solo GM with this.

You can get around barrier without issue so long as you swap to heavy or secondary after procs. It’ll break the champs. It covers all basis.

I'm not sure how to feel currently! I feel like town crazy person that's finally been vindicated 😄😄😄 I have been saying for the LONGEST time Thorn was my PVE go to (Even when it was rubbish but ssshhhh!) Then Necrotic Grips & Osteo, i still ran Thorn! Got moaned at a lot too 😄 I kept saying give Thorn overflow too & we're COOKING! It gets the Range & Stability bump it needed & Overflow with the Catty, Necrotic Grips are still awesome! It's FINALLY where I believed it could be 😄😁 Hopefully you see this Plunder & you remember ay least some of my comments 😄 It's finally become a destructive PVE Monster & I'm not "throwing" anymore! My Prismatic Warlock is almost the same (Need to unlock a couple more Fragments!) Better believe I'll be throwing this build in my Fireteams faces 😄

@@Plunderthabooty it's always been a menace or downright oppressive in PVP! I've always loved it for the lore & it helps it feels awesome to use! Necrotic Grips really helped it out in PVE, then as mentioned the buffs Hand Cannons got against minors & majors too I think! Exotic Primary Buffs, the Catalyst! It slots into a multiple builds across all Classes & Subclasses! Admitted some better than others. Warlock with a good ranged Melee, Necrotic Grips, Kinetic Surge Mods can be fun too! It just feels right 😍

Focus decrypting an exotic engram at rahool in the tower. Rahool must be rank 16 or prestiged once. When your in rahools menu press “focused decryption” then hit the arrow to go two pages over.

Personally I think Star eater. It gives you really good boss dps and the extra bit of melee damage you get just doesn’t seem totally worth the loss to me. Definitely helps with consistency with triggering devour though!

I think just pick whatever fits the need at the time. Indebted kindness is an awesome gun all around, but you could pick any other sidearm if you really needed unstoppable. Could also go with a void weapon and benefit from the artifact that boosts void weapon damage when attacking a weakened target. Which, will be every transcendent moment

I’d use something that can chunk yellow bars quickly. The new solar rocket sidearm Aberrant Action is fantastic or you could use Null Composure from the exotic kiosk in the tower for a quick and effective option. Those would be my two recommendations personally.

The Ostria Striga sub machine gun also works well like the Thorn. Builds up light and dark fast for transcendence. If people want to try and automatic weapon instead.

I saw Thorn mentioned and knew the class item you were going to bring up. I was lucky enough to get a Necrotic/Star Eater roll and immediately knew it was going to be good. Fun fact: the poison from melee does still proc on super melee damage. Though, I'm not sure if the poison gets boosted from Star Eater when procced this way. I don't think it does, since it's stacked on top of the super, but I'd love for someone to test that.

I must be dumb. I followed this build and got my butt kicked in the Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Trying to run it solo in the second hardest setting to see how I would do. Can’t get past the 2 drop ships. Love this build and it’s helped me dominate everything else.

I’ve got a different version of this I was already running using the arc slide instead of helicon since it also works with necrotic . But I’ll definitely be trying this as well

I chose the Khvostov/Getaway Artist build. I like Thorn, but don't really use HC very often. I also like using Vesper of Radius. It has the larger Healing Rift, that everyone can benefit from.

Was thinking of switching the storm grenade with vortex and helion with lightning surge to still have access to jolt and have weaken, this build gave me that idea since I do have necrotic with synthos, cuz lightning surge wrecks with synthos and anything that doesn't die the poison will proc jolt and for needle the poison also keeps proving the unravel for more damage

Im glad you got a god roll you want because I feel less bad sayingI just got my first class item last night.... and it has Spirit of Necrotic and Spirit of Synthoceps on it. I really want to try more prismatic builds for Warlock, but Mataidoxia is so g dang fun I just can't take it off. Throwing a weakening vortex and tagging an enemy with Mataidoxia, combined with the fragment that increases light ability damage to darkness debuffed enemies leads to a massive kaboom suspension of death. It's so tasty.

I saw that too. Must be an animation error and just uses it as a fallback animation when it has a desync

On this build, my guess is you're throwing out more melee's than supers. It also looks like an in your face build so I would personally go syntho. Wouldn't be disappointed to have star eater though

Necrotic poison counts as kinetic damage which could be contributing to why thorn is increasing transcendence so much quicker.

@plunder would you think that necro/syntho would go better with lightning surge in GM content? over hellion? DR in and after electroslide, everything that doesn't die is jolted and poisoned? necro/syntho is thankfully a roll i have. constructive comments only please
