Күн бұрынIt's Day 2 of our Marella Discovery Florida cruise, and we are in Fort Lauderdale. We chose to have a ship-day and enjoy quiet time at the Glass House pool and tea time. We then go to the same main theatre show TWICE because it was so good.
Watch for the first letter of our 'Journey to the Secret Word' feature, where we show the second of 7 letters you must unscramble to create a cruise-related word. Once you have the word and a list of all letter locations, email us at secret@cruisingcanicks.ca to see if you can win the prize!

This Video is part our 'Journey to the Secret Word' challenge. You only need to find the hidden letter and note its location. There will be one letter for each day on this cruise - making for seven total letters. Just unscramble those letters and spell a cruise-related word. Once you have it figured out, email us at secret @ cruisingcanucks.ca with the Secret Word AND the location of each letter. We will then choose from the list of correct submissions to award a special prize. Good luck, and have fun! 🕵🚢🌴

Good that you like the entertainment. Like you, we found it way above expectation. Old fashioned perhaps but done so well. They have a two-week repertoire which is a lot to learn and, on our Caribbean cruise, I can't recall a single 'blooper'.

I know I’m late in the game but I had to re watch once I understood what to look for, you both are (I wanna say cute, adorable but …) fantastic seems better suited and I just found letter 2 😁, This is fun to watch even though I see this has been posted a few months ago. 🎉

As an American I think I would also like Marcella - love scones, clotted cream, hot tea-just not baked beans and black pudding for breakfast. Glass House looks very nice. Definitely would do a sea day in FLL!

Yes, it was very similar.It had very nice stairs that you could walk in. So much nicer than a pool with a ladder.🏊♀️

OOh, loving this series! Jill, I think maybe green of your dress might be mint or pistachio but maybe would see the true color if in person. By the way, you look absolutely stunning! Both of you represented North America wonderfully!

The Fort Lauderdale stop was sort of what I expected, and I would have done the same…stay on the ship and enjoy the peace and quiet since we have been there many times for embarkations/disembarkations. Great vlog with much to see there on the ship. We had our first Bimini port on a HAL cruise last December on the Statendam and it was a bit underwhelming, but at least we got to see it. My guess is that Jerry has tried this before, but just in case…have you ever had a drink called a Weng Weng? If not, you should try it at least once. 😱🥳. Thanks for the video and content! 🙏

@@CruisingCanucks It is a drink from The Philippines, and most of the cruise ship bartenders know it by heart. It tastes really good and goes down quite easily, but beware…you may want to pace yourself. Just remember you heard it from Doug! 🙏❤️🥳

Dressing for dinner is one of our favorite things on a cruise. Wish the dress code was enforced on all cruises. Casual clothes can go to buffet.

Beautiful pool area. Is the roof retractable? I noticed when we were on a cruise with mostly Australians that we kept running into them in the hallways too. 😂.

We felt a little directionally challenged. Lol😂 The roof was not retractable but there was air conditioning inside the Glass House.

Thanks. It was shoot with a Insta 360 camera. It is a tiny camera on a pole but the camera is smart enough not to show us holding the pool.📸

Oh, I would LOVE that Glass House thing!!! ...and you had it all to yourself. Were there any crew/staff around? A bar and/or snack?

It was absolutely beautiful. There is a full bar that opens at 10am and a restaurant for lunch and dinner all inside the Glass House. There were plenty of waiters looking after the area❤️.

Love your videos about this ship. Will be travelling in September and cant wait. Can i ask, is there any noise in your cabin at night from the above deck 4? I am also staying in Deck 3 and was a little concerned when i realised the Atrium is a deck above. Thank you

We heard no noise whatsoever throughout the whole week. We had a fabulous time on the Marella Discovery. Have a great trip.🛳

If you are going to cruise the Med you really need to use Marella for the best experience but if a posher ship is your bag then maybe not.

Yes, there is. We went on a Spa tour on embarkation day and thought it was a good size gym for the size of ship. The Spa offered full services that you would find on any other cruise.🤸🏼♀️

Next time skip the water and just have the tequila! Make sure you get tequila that you can sip. Not the tequila you used to drink at 2 o'clock in the morning. Lol. Awesome video!

It was very quiet in the Glass House. Most people were exploring Fort Lauderdale. There were some people that stayed on board that were suntanning by the main pool. It was busy in the evening but we try are best no to film others.🛳
