In this video you can see how to make 4 ply cords with a cord maker, • Linda Hendrickson demo... .
The needle I use is called a gripfid. The pattern I'm making is called Chevron.

Thank you For ply split, I use the same cotton I use for my Mochilas. Mercerized cotton yarn, 125 meter per 50 gram. Good brands are Schachenmayr Catania, Scheepjes Catona, Gründl quick, phildar cotton 3, Camilla ice yarn. For ply split you have to make cords first. You make cords with 4 yarns. Please check the description under the video for more information.

Hi! Beautiful work!!! Could you please do a tutorial on this from beginning to ending? After you did that last step, I didn't know what you did with the rest of the string. What material is that. I don't have facebook, so I don't even know what your gripfid looks like completely or the material you used for the macrame of the chevron. Please HELP! THANKYOU!!!

@@MarionVerloop Thankyou! The gripfid shes using I can't find on Amazon. What I found was a Paracord Fid. Could you please tell me the complete name of this needle? I looked up macrame gripfid needle, nothing. I want one just like I saw on this channel. Yet I didn't get a good look at it. Like the full legth etc. What company did she purchase it from? I wonder and what name did they give this tool?

There you see the gripfid that are used for ply split braiding. You can order from her website. Or are you in different country than Linda Hendriks?

Google User If you want to make a strap that is 1 meter long, the cords need to be 2 meter. To make 2 meter long cords you need 4 yarns. Each yarn needs to be 255 centimeter.

Armanious D It is called a gripfid. You can make it out of a hollow knitting needle.

The needle is called a gripfid. I only know where to buy it in my country. Please check the Facebook group I mentioned in the description of the video. They have more information on where to buy a gripfid. You could make it from a hollow knitting needle. There are videos for it.
