This was under the face lift programme. Which DD went thru in the past 5 year. And that's because of the need for India's own National Broadcasting network. Every major nation has there own state own network and are World known but our's wasn't doing that good. So the government did a make over for DD and now trying push hard to make it more known. Which should work! Given the investments which were done.
