I remember shiny hunting the starters in distortions back before massive mass outbreaks were introduced. Never got one in them but I managed to get a shiny shieldon which was still mint considering they didn't introduce the fossil lines to the massive outbreaks.

I’ll be honest, possibly my two best shinies were hisuian braviary, and an alpha teddiursa, which after a LOT of levelling up, got me the shiny bear. sadly, I lost all my progress due to me getting a new switch (old one had drift)
