OMGs! Thank you sooo much. I always thought I knew this scene but now I have to discover that I only know an incomplete version of it. So adorable these two. And this scene! Barbara Hale rocks she's so sweet as Della! :o) :o)

Thank god this deleted scene was not deleted when I saw (and recorded) this film on Encore. One criticism that most of the Perry Mason 1980s movies had was that Barbara Hale did not get that much to do as Della. I think that the producers did make a effort in some movies to give her something interesting moments (in Burr's last Mason movie, they even give Della a funny subplot about her love of soap operas.) This is a touching scene.

I didn't notice that but that's true I guess. The show of course she would sometimes go undercover, break into apartments etc. But maybe it was due to Barbara's age she wasn't considered that type of leggy dame anymore so they couldn't have her do the stuff she would do on the original series idk. I think she was just so good in the movies that you don't notice that she didn't do that much compared to the original series.
