Excellent material, as always. I mentioned in a previous post that I am a PMP instructor, and I take extra time to lead my students through the answers to help them build their "option analysis" skills, just as you mentioned in your video. As a result, my students tend to pass their PMP exam the first time through.

Question 1: is the matter of permit discussed in any sprint review ? I mean should it be discussed at retrospective ? does a sprint review focus on the work thats done in that particular sprint and demo to the customer ?? Pl make us understand

The permit issue is a blocker/impediment and hence should be discussed in the sprint review for immediate solution. Retrospective could be used for a 'learn from experience' standpoint.

Yes, that's correct. You cannot share information across various sponsors for a multi-geographical project without reviewing the communications plan.

Hi Ray, Thanks for your efforts. I am confused because according to PMI; point 4 states to review all contracts and made sure all payments are made. So how did we exclude this option? Thanks. How can I close the project in the best manner possible? The section above describes a thorough project closing process. Below is a guideline that project managers could use to close their projects comprehensively: 1- Ensure those operations and any and all other departments/units/parties who will use the product(s) of the project have the necessary training, tools, documentation, and capability to perform their role. 2- Ensure that the project has satisfied the strategic goal(s) for which it was undertaken. 3- Ensure that the whole scope of work has been completed, and make sure to receive formal documented acceptance from the client and sponsor. 4- Review all contracts with the project team and suppliers. Make sure that all parties have satisfied their contractual obligations-that the suppliers have delivered all of the products or services required of them and that the organization has made all pertinent payments. Release bonds if necessary, and make sure the supplier provides all supplementary deliverables, which may include, but may not be limited to product documentation, drawings, warranties, service contracts, lien waivers, and so forth. 5- Review project management practices. 6- Document lessons learned for future reference. 7 - Disband the project team and officially return resources to their functional locations.

Hi, point# 1-7 are not excerpts from PMBOK-7. So, may I know what is the reference for this when you mention 'according to PMI' please? As I mentioned in the answer explanation, ensuring all invoices are 'posted' correctly to accounts is job of PM, payment can happen 60/90 days after invoice posting depending on the procurement payment terms. Hence, Option D which is LFE is a better choice.

Really confused in Q2. If when closing project appears an issue or risk, that will affect the lessons learned. However at the side of invoices, can we close without verifying invoices? May appear an issue with one invoice that will affect the whole project benefit (by experience). Anyway, all other questions answered correctly.

Hi, 'verification' is not equal to 'ensure payment'. Hence, your line of thought is correct, but Option B does not support that.
