Towards the end of October 2022, the @Scottish Urban Prepper (SUP) KZfaq channel published a video entitled "Prepping - Retevis Radio RT45P Review".
Although I do not consider myself a Prepper as such, the videos on that channel are always interesting and educational. However the video about a PMR446 radio really caught my attention for obvious reasons!
I noticed that several SUP subscribers commented that they were completely unfamiliar with these kind of radios, or at least didn't know much about them.
So I thought I would make a video aimed at complete newcomers to PMR446.
As well as many hints and tips, the video covers the history of the band, likely geographical coverage, voice scrambling, and so-called "privacy codes" that actually give you no privacy at all.
The video is rather long (over 30 minutes) but I have tried to make it as comprehensive and 'plain English' as possible. Thank you for your patience and perseverance if you watch it all!
