AF on your way up to the rock garden mineral basin side. For those who think that's a river...It's the trail to get where he is going. There is a bypass route that goes on the left of his machine. However where he is traveling there is a rock bottom. I believe RME 4x4 added the rocks about 10-15 years ago when there was a washout due to the runoff alone. Most every spot where you cross water there is rocks. There is a spot that was shut down that you can see from this vid actually. If you notice after he drives through the camera starts to pan and follow. you will see what looks like a very small pond or old truck trail that's blocked by a fence. That used to gain access to other areas that were closed on for safety purposes.

Greg Grissinger the Four seater is a little lower. but you can get 3 extra inches out of it if you want to. just by adjusting the preload. I haven't adjusted mine yet but it's got plenty of ground clearance.

Appreciate you posting, not many videos since this beast is so new. I'm tore between this and the RZR only because my toy hauler will fit this with all of 1.ft left to spar =/ Leaves me no room for a quad, at least its far enough over for 2 dirt bikes next to it, and then I could stack the quads in the bed of my truck. Ahh decisions! haha

+CoreByChris the four seater X3 is freaking huge I had to buy a new enclosed trailer to haul it there's definitely has its pros and cons. I love it. sometimes it kind of sucks but overall I'm happy with my purchase.

+mrtosh thanks for the comment I went with 14 inch rims this time.they give you a little bit more Tire and a little bit more cushion. and now they're making the Maxxis Liberty 32 inch tires. they are freaking awesome tires. I've literally tried to pop them and I can't. they are great tires.🖒

Those limos slows us down so much on the trails the honda pioneers got the best setup with there 5 seater same size as the 3 x3 will be my next toy but the 2 seater got my pioneer for the buddys to ride in

Great looking machine, good video. How would you consider the turning radius on this thing? I currently have a 2 seat RZR Turbo, and looking to make the transition to a 4 seater. I'm torn between this and the XP4 turbo. We ride a ton of trails that are pretty tight, and don't give much room for turning around, making adjustments, etc. Just curious on how this handles trails like that, any insight would be appreciated.

+Michael Spross thanks for the comment. honestly I take it on a lot of tight Trails. I feel like it does a great there is a few times where you have to do a three-point turn. because it is so large. but the pros outweigh the cons on the XRS and I feel like if you get it you will be happy. the Polaris is good too but the Can-Am is better in my opinion and worth the extra money.👍

I'm here in Utah that location was in American Fork Canyon. as far as the radio I have not looked into that yet. so I really don't know what to tell you. the cameras I use our GoPro hero4 silver Editions they've worked pretty well for the most part let me know if there's anything else I can help you with thanks Brandon.👍

7:21 - that's why you don't buy the 4-seater! The wheel base on those is just too damn long to be a compact all terrain vehicle. I bet that thing bottoms out a whole lot more than what we seen just in this video.

That's what boggles my mind!!! I can't understand why Can-Am hasn't upgraded the front diffs on their machines. It hasn't improved at all since they started building them 10 years ago. By not having a locking front diff,...it honestly makes it a less capable machine. Why have 4 wheel drive, when you only have the guaranteed traction of 2? That's the difference in trekking on,...or turning back. If I was in the market,...that would be the deal breaker for me, vs a RZR4 Turbo XP.

Brandon - Is the American Fork Canyon and the beginning of the Alpine loop the same ?

I think the trail Brandon went on was up past Tibble Fork Reservoir and then up towards the backside of Snowbird ski resort. You can take the east fork of that same trail and end up at Midway by the Zermatt resort. The Alpine loop is a car route that takes you over and exits in Provo Canyon just below Sundance ski resort.

There is a base model X3 coming in 2018 that has 120 HP. You can find it on Can Ams website now. The MSRP is $19,900 I think.

the 120 hp x3 as well as the 172. hp x3 should be available around August or september. expect the msrp of the 120 hp x3 to be under 20k.

I think the X3 would do really good in the mud but I've never had mine in deep deep mud we don't really have it here. lots of cool desert sand dunes mountains but not a lot of mud. the new XMR will have the Smart Lock system it should kick ass in the mud. thanks again for all the support on KZfaq👍

+Shelton Swimmer thanks for the comment. those are 32 inch Maxxis Liberty tires and the clutching has been great I haven't touched it👍

If you do tight trails & u plan to get one, dont believe that it makes it ok through tight trails. I like going up to Shaver Lake I've run into couple guys on these & one hated how wide & long this rig is. Another stopped following us almost punched a hole in a tire out with a thick branch that was unavoidable. Best 4 seater sxs for tight trails are the older 800&900 rzrs. Mine is a 4 xp 1K & I scraped my sides bad had to stop back up & line up for some tight turns. The x3 looks nice though but, not for tight trails open trails & dunes!

+AL Gmz thanks for the comment. on the trails that I ride here in Utah and the dunes and the desert it's doing great. but I see what you're saying. it is a big sxs. but I still love it and I wouldn't trade it for any other side by side.👍

I wouldn't have the 4 door. To far stretched out. It would bottom out to easy.

William W. thanks for the comment. there is definitely pros and cons to the four door on some obstacles. the 4 door actually does better. I actually need to raise the suspension up by adjusting my preload I can get 3 more inches of clearance just haven't had time to do it. thanks for watching the video.👍

+Xander Nelson I haven't heard anything about a suspension recall? I've had a lot of fun with my machine and have no problems with the suspension.

+Brandon Pierce that's a super cool machine. I have an arctic cat wildcat 4 1000 and that Can Am is my next purchase. You just have to ignore all of the jealous haters out there. BTW - I have those exact tires and they are the best!
