This video illustrates the control in pneumatic systems. The video is made by and owned by Festo Didactic. I stake no claims over the ownership of the video. The sole purpose of uploading this video was to help students learn.
If anyone has any problems with the video being uploaded, please write to me and I will take it down. I am not making any money on these videos and thus these videos should always be ad-free. If youtube starts putting ads here, please let me know, I'll try to make it harder for them.
Some other learning material that I found along with the videos are shared, here's a Google Drive link, that will give you access to books and maybe some software:

Very informative. My company has a lot of pneumatic controls and automation and this has helped me tremendously. Now, I can go out to the floor and identify our current components and perhaps make better design. We have some hydraulic cylinders that should be replace by pneumatic ones. Thanks!

Okay, so I've seen many comments about the left ear missing the sound or the right ear missing the sound. And I had never really paid attention to it, but I checked it today and it seems, I could hear it with both ears. But the intensity levels are weak in one of the ears. I increased the sound to the max and I could hear it in both the sides of the headphones, a bit low in one of the ears, but it's there. I checked the original video and it seems like the problem was at the time of recording and the intensities were off in the original video as well. There is nothing I could do with that now. So please make do with what is there, nothing could be done about it. Happy learning.

how can i control the position of the piston in pneumatics? I want to hold the piston anywhere in the middle of the stroke ... how can i achieve it??
@baileycoan8946
@baileycoan8946 5 жыл бұрын
I'm not very knowledgeable about pneumatic cylinders, but I have heard that its difficult to control a piston rod's position in the middle of a stroke. This might be a horrible suggestion, but I would experiment with using mechanical stops on it.

It is a linear actuator connected to a rack and pinion gear where the piston drives the rack and the goes through a gearbox or some sorts. Hence, the "rotary actuator"
