The people standing in lane represent their customers. PnL used to be drug dealers. Even though the drugs have turned into music, customers are still waiting for their stuff. In France, drug dealing is known to be carried inside the halls of poorer suburbs. I think they want to give some insights on their life, regrets and achievements through their story.

hello, first of all i am french and i am very glad that you enjoyed the clip. I will try to enlighten you on the main meaning of the music. Ademo is the first person to sing, we see him first in his block where he welcomes the "customers" who come to buy his drugs (before succeeding in music). This is why he says then that he has regrets and asks God for forgiveness "inch'Allah" then the chorus is the descrition of a love more and more intense until the ammonia. Ammonia is the basis of a drug "crack" which represents a dependent love, harmful (of course, it does not consume this product is only a character he plays) Then the couplet of N.O.S (second brothers to sing ) reveals his life as a flower trapped by the "jungle" (the jungle represents neighborhoods, the place where they sell drugs in their universe) he says he was trapped by this jungle and then he says that no one helped them get where they are. thanks for listening

their style is distinguished by being "the good-bad guys...", almost all rappers are proud of selling drugs, but pnl always show that they did it cause they had to and that they hate it, and that's the guilt you talked about in your reaction, the people at the beginning of their video standing in lines are their customers, they also show the scene like a judgement day to show that they admit that what they did was wrong, but again they had no choice (growing up in the project)....and the title amoniac, comes from the way we cut cocain...they are so diffrent ! their songs are so thug ! but so poetic at the same time... one last thing, in his song the word "life" means "cocaine" and "my life" means the "cocaine i sold" ... for the visuals shoutout to #mess production, those guys are a legend

Nice review! If you like the slow flow of this song I would suggest "Mexico" from their second album and "Jusqu'au derniere gramme" from their third album. So these two half Algerian half French brothers are basically independent and are not signed under a label or whatever. They practically built their own empire recording their music in a basement and shooting their videos with amateur videographers from their hood Corbeil-Essonnes which is an outskirt of Paris. Their main motto is "que la famille" (QLF) where famille stands for the youngsters from their hood growing up in f'ed up circumstances in the outskirts. They did featuring with young starting rappers to help them grow and reject featurings with big names. As a matter of fact, they don't do interviews as a big middle finger to fame and fortune. They stand for getting their messages and melancholy across and it hit a lot of young people in very short time. This led to millions of views on their videos. Another interesting fact about them is that they stand for not wanting to be put in a box classifying them in a certain (political) ideology or even music genre. Their song "Le monde ou rien" (the whole world or nothing) symbolizes being part of the whole world and refusing to be linked to one particular place or state of mind. They believe that limits peoples' way of viewing things. They also try to get this "global" message across by recording every video in another continent. The slogan "le monde ou rien" has even been used on banners in riots caused by rebellious youngsters in France a couple years ago. The monkey that's in their "DA" video is the same one they sent to Radio Skyrock (one of the biggest hip-hop platforms in France) as response to their invitation, also as another middle finger to fame and fortune. Fun fact is that the people behind Radio Skyrock let the monkey in the studio and you could hear him/her fooling around while PNL's songs were playing in between for whole France to hear. The monkey is also symbolic for "Le Zoo" (the zoo). This is how their original hood is called because of the sad state it is in.

The ammonia is a chimical water which can be used for cleaning things like carpets or whatever, it can be used in a solid matter that can transform cocaïna into a smockable way( idk if smockable is the right word ) and Ademo were used to sold it in old days to let them live and buy food for example, Ademo says « Je t’aime » and finish with « a l’Ammoniaque » which can mean that he love ammonia because it helps them to live but it can mean that he’s hooked on you because it’s a drug, 2 sences here. Hope you understand! Great vid btw

Pnl is two brothers from Algeria, they are living in France; this song come after such horrible life they are lived within alchol, drugs and blackmail. most of the scenes were got in the big desert of Algeria, also most of the verses were included a lot of meaning like when he mentined Piaf which said in her song that she lived her life without regret. in addition I have to mention this song come after 2 years after their last song. It's really beautiful one, and everyone gonna feel the sorrow during the lyrics and the music eventhough it's hard for some to understand the frensh.

Hey ! First one I am french and I am very happy to see an other point of view about this music. It’s interesant to see what other cultures think about this music because It’s a special type of music what PNL do. Happy to see you like this music for the beat but I don’t understand really why you like for lyrics, it wasn’t the best part of this music. But, if wanna listen a very good music with intersting lyric, you should listen music from Kery James. I am not sure but I think « Constat Amer » has been translated and « l’impasse » too. Those songs are older than « À l’ammoniaque » but the lyrics are more interesting ! I hope You will do more reacts about french music :)

no, it is a line to get their fix (drug). Look at heir eyes they are empty. PNL where used to sell drug in Paris> Often yhe drug is mixed (cut) with amoniac to make it cheaper and hae direct effect> The song is about about a reflexion in the life of a drug addict who fall in "love" for its drug...

The "booth" is his block's hall(where they sell drugs" the line of people is the clients waiting for their product. the clip is a reflection of how they feel inside , they feel bad for what they doing but they have no choice to do it

The first guy is Tarik aka ademo The second guy is nabil aka N.O.S And I suggest you to listen to their 3nd album " Dans la légende " the album is excellent . And also you should listen to le monde ou rien / tempête from their second album (or you can listen to the whole album , the album is also very good). 😉 You can also watch their 4 videoclip : Naha / onizuka / bene/ and jusqu'au dernier gramme ( which are considered as series) if you want to understand their world .

In my opinion their best songs are "Kratos" and "Onizuka" But Kratos isn't cliped and Onizuka is one of a part of a few clips during between 15 an 30 minutes with a story. Intresting concept but don't really like those. For the lyrics they're both on TheInternationalConnect. I also recommend you a french rapper called "Lord Esperanza" he is doing like, everything in rap, trap, melodic, Politic ... a few songs of him if you wanna check : - L'insolence des élus (The arrogance of the elected) - Clipped - Drapeau noir (Black Flag) - Clipped - Origines (no need to translate ^^) - No clip - Tutoyer le ciel (can't translate that) - cliped

@artencow7779
