@@iHayri1 I wonder do you smell any oil from the fridge compressor?
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 3 жыл бұрын
@@mrechbreger Actually, you can smell a little of the oil but it is very minimal and if you put the compressor into an enclosure it would be hard to smell anything.
@mrechbreger

@@iHayri1 I thought about using it too until the point that I read that those are non oilfree compressors. So I spent 100 bucks to get a oilfree compressor (it's for sure louder than the fridge compressor but it's still acceptable in the apartment). We're using a vacuum generator and the colour of the damping module has changed to a slightly oilish style.. I don't want to make the inside dirtier than needed.
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 3 жыл бұрын
@@mrechbreger It sure has oil in it but you can catch it so to speak with one of those cheap foam filters that you stick on the output pipe. Input being the vacuum in this case. This is more of a poor poor mans compressor, you can buy them as cheap as 5 bucks, I paid $2.50. lol, can't beat that :-) You know, you just brought me to an idea, I should put my air quality monitor next to it when running and see how much pollution I get. Worst case I could put a small tube connected to the output pipe out the window :-)

Thank you so much, yes they are just push pull, held by a small bearing in a rubber seal. Simple but functional.

@iHayri1

What are you using for code? Are you writing custom G-code for the pnp? Seems like tool changes would be very tricky.
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 6 жыл бұрын
The gcode will be exported from Eagle and used with either LitePlacer software or OpenPNP
@gwkdad
@gwkdad 6 жыл бұрын
Hayri but still. You have to tell the code where and what for components and tip changes. Guess I need to look at Eagle maybe to understand. :-) Looking forward to seeing this running.
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 6 жыл бұрын
Eagle just tell the PNP where the parts are located with coordinates, then you tell the PNP, when you set it up where you placed the parts on the table and the machine then picks up the component and places the part. Of course there is more involved in this like nozzle change for various parts and so on. You need to tell the machine in the setup which nozzle too use for which parts. Just check OpenPNP software and you will get your answers.

Noise will come out from those solenoid valve.. Clank.. Clank...each time they open close..
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 6 жыл бұрын
Wrong, guess you did not watch the video, there is absolutely no noise coming out of the valve and since I am using a fridge compressor you can hardly hear that either. But most people use the aquarium pumps that are annoyingly loud, those make sound, not the valve I am using.

Nope, mine are way quieter :-) My phone was like 3cm from the solenoid and the switch from the battery holder is louder than the solenoid. Maybe you are using yours with a higher voltage, also your vacuum pump can be heard. Once I have my compressor in a enclosure and underneath the table it will be whisper quiet :-) What software are you using on your PNP, is it OpenPNP ?
@andribaukenbauer6604
@andribaukenbauer6604 6 жыл бұрын
Yes it was openpnp using ramps 1.4 board.. I'm using 12 volt from d9 and d10 to run a pair nc valve, no valve and vacuum pump and let 1 blow pump keep running,will give a try on 6 volt using stepdown for valve maybe it will be quieter.. Thank's for the advise. :D
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 6 жыл бұрын
If you have the same solenoid as I do you can even power them directly from a 5V pin on the mega. How good does the mega with the ramps and OpenPNP work? I got some spare and could try it although I wanted to use the Liteplacer software.

The ones I use won't help you much unless you have the exact same design, if they are too big, they will stick to the nozzle, if they are too small, they will not hold it.

Hi Mike, haven't heard any issues like that till now, also my magnets do not really touch the Juki's plus I have seen similar designs where the magnet actually touches the nozzle holder while in rest position and no issues. But thanks for pointing it out, will keep it in mind.

Very cool stuff! I don't hate LED lights... I hate RGB LEDs for the sake of it. It's like all those ridiculous keyboards that have flashing or pulsing RGB backlighting. Point is... what? Ruin your night vision gaming at night? Just generally being annoying? Oh, wait, it's another marketing buzz word they can stick on the box and make you pay more for it.
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your input. Well, I do love my RGB lighted keyboard :-) but I am not a gamer although I love how it lights up at night where I do most of my work. On the other hand, I used to have underglow Neon lights on my car but that was 25 years ago, would I do it now? Hell no, I don't even listen to music in my car anymore, just want my piece and quiet while I listen to the car engine :-) For anybody that wants to know it, I have a Alfa Romeo with a boxer engine and that just sounds great. Not to mention that I have a 20 dollar radio in my car :-) I agree with it being a marketing buzz and sometimes less is more. Thanks if you read it this far.

But do not use flame on Juki nozzles - those have plastic-rubber tips!
@iHayri1
@iHayri1 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the link. Btw, I had my nozzles on the holder for a long time and they did not magnetize. As I mentioned earlier mine do not touch the nozzle. Also the smaller nozzles do seem to be made out of metal only the bigger one for chips has a rubber ring and that can not be magnetized even if you wanted anyway :-) There are also a lot of fake Juki holders out there, so it might be different from the original ones.
Feeders just got a whole lot smaller
