Blessings! In PNT Episode 12, we hike the rest of Section 8 of the Pacific Northwest Trail, the Puget Sound. In the summer of 2022, we began our 113 mile, 7 day, hike from Anacortes, Washington, to the Baker Lake Trailhead. This video is the first day of this hike that was the proof that we can do the mileage and endurance for the longer sections of the PNT in the years to come. Highlights of this day were completing our longest mileage in a day (about 21 miles), the picturesque Padilla Bay Trail, and of course the wonderful views of the Puget Sound from Oyster Dome. Thanks to my wife, we were able to slack pack most of the day road hiking until we got to Blanchard Mountain. Lizard Lake was a beautiful and peaceful camp.
