I got some PNW Range Bars and I love them. Check out these sick bars. They are bringing confidence and comfort for my riding. They are perfect for me. For $69, they are a great deal.

Hey dude. Just subed. Great review. I just bought these: Ranger Gen 3. I got the 35mm version. My Yeti 130 came stock with RaceFace Affect. I crash a lot on those slow sharp techy like you. Hoping these new bars help. Super stoked to see you ripping with these PNW bars.

Len, he is definitely improving quickly, both climbing and on the downhill. I guess that being in your 20's has it's advantages :-)

I swapped to the Nukeproof carbons with the 30mm rise on my Instinct. Love the feel on my bike. Moved the ride nine to 3, digging that as well.

The Takeoff bars you were crashing with - they look pretty similar to my stock Giant Talon bars, which I don't have much confidence on especially on those tight turns. Thinking about the PNW bars now. Thanks for posting this video.

They are awesome and still holding strong. But i think they might be out of stock at the moment.

With these bars, was the reduction in reach from the backsweep noticeable at all? I'm eyeing these bars for my bike to get some extra rise as the 20mm rise is giving me back pain on long descents and hand numbness on long pedaling sections, but my bike is already a little tight on reach for my liking (I'm 5'10" and my bike has 435 reach in stock configuration).

Your videos and MTB YUmYum’s review of the Rocky Mountain Instinct significantly influence my decision to purchase mine. Let me tell you I am extremely happy with my C50 so far. Maybe this review will convince me to get that PNW handlebar. I feel like I need more rise than stock but not too much as I mostly ride flat terrain but I do like to have the handle bars a little higher. I’m looking into it. I’ll let you know what I decide to do. Thanks for all the good videos!

RideLabs I hope to improve my riding and ride this bike as it should. I’m not there yet with the jump lines! I hope one day I can become half as good as you are. That would be more than enough for me! But I’m having a blast in that bike. Huge improvement from my 2008 RM Element! Lol

Oh you will improve so quickly as long as you just keep riding, push yourself and have fun. This bike will really be a huge help.

Good to see you back riding your bike! So sorry for your crash and broken shoulder. But finally you got a handle bar you like :-)! I‘m still so stoked on my Instinct C70! What a bike. I also think the stock Raceface handelbar are quite good... Maybe it is a bit offtopic, but have you been ever thinking of upgrading your rear shock to an Fox DPX2 or similar? ... Cheers Marcel

Hey Marcel! So glad you love your bike! Yea, I still love my c50 too. I'd turn this into a BC edition if i had the budget for it. That sounds way fun. Maybe sometime in the near future. Did you do that?

Not yet, but who knows... :-). I just lent a ShockWiz from my local Bikeshop. Nice little piece of electronics. Will start with optimizing my current Suspension Setup...

Any suggestions on how to setup the initial angle? From what I can tell, most folks have the decals level. And thanks for mentioning the trail. And, BTW, PNW makes a 200mm dropper. I love mine!

You mentioned the "Habit" bars were giving you an issue? Just curious if it was the Bad Habit 2? When I went from my Hard Tail to my Habit 2, I went down "Bobsled" and wrecked hard, and found myself having a few other spills that I didn't have with my Fuji Bighorn. I have since been riding my BH2 much more now and have gotten used to it, but I did notice a difference when I first transitioned!

David, the bar was the "Canondale C3 Riser" with a 15mm rise, 8deg sweep, 4deg rise and 780mm. Just felt all wrong for me.

You heel very fast! Wish I would heel as fast as you. Glad you found some bars you like. Good price, too. Sorry if you mentioned it, but I'm assuming they are alloy? I got one of those Spank Vibrocore handlebars. Pretty nice. Nice riding, by the way. Look good on those jumps.
@RideLabs
@RideLabs 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Yes they are 2014 alloy (some kind of perfect mix I guess). I have been taking something called bone maximizer supplements, maybe that helped? I also just got out and pushed through some pain too. But it has been a 4 or 5 weeks for this footage and now 8 weeks, so it makes sense to feel good now haha. The delay on video releases is probably what makes you think that.
@chameleonpogono

@@RideLabs That still seems fast. I'm at the 3 month mark and still not 100% healed. Still started riding again, though. Just taking it slow. Don't want to get hurt more before going to Outerbike. It was nice to see what Zooropa looks like now, as well. Do you like it more now?

Sorry man! I think I rode that cockpit like twice then I put the Deity one on. I didn't think much of the big difference, but yeah, a cockpit completely changes the feel of a bike. I think the biggest factor there for you is that 30mm rise and the different back sweep. The stock cannondale set up isn't a flat bar, but it also isn't a 30mm rise bar. 30mm is fairly substantial. Most set ups run 15-20mm rise I believe. Up sweep and back sweep is definitely personal preference for the feel of a bike too. Once you get a set you that you like, you hop on something different and it feels so bad! You could be riding the sickest bike and if the cockpit feels super odd to you, it will make you think the bike sucks. Anyway, sorry for the wrecks! Glad you found a good set up!

How is the vibration dampening?
@RideLabs
@RideLabs 3 жыл бұрын
I haven't ridden a carbon bar for many years, carbon would obviously be better for vibration damping. That being said, i never get hand or wrist fatigue,i get finger fatigue after a long day at the park, but that is normal.
