Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea in the Premier League is a HUGE game for both teams. Chelsea will have Malo Gusto, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku back from injury. I believe this is the strongest available Chelsea XI that Pochettino has had to choose from this season. Can Chelsea win a third consecutive Premier League game? Let me know your Chelsea Starting XI for Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea in the comments below!

transfer policy was always meant to change. arsenal did the same thing back in 2020 or around then. now theyre in a position where they have a super solid base of young talent that will be with the club for another 6-8 years and have been playing together for about 4, whilst every transfer season from now on, they can add quality, seasoned players to their liking as long as they fit the profile that's desired. chelsea's policy will do the same thing. come back to this in 4 years so i can say i told ya so...

What is George talking about? Pochettino's response is fine. Poch is human after all and has every right to feel annoyed if the media keeps on speculating on his job. No problem if he says what he said. Also don't see he is any less committed.

Look I'm Chelsea through and through and I wouldn't necessarily lose sleep if Poch leaves or get sack but I agree with him here, how many times have clubs treated managers as disposable even when they don't necessarily deserve it, think Ancelotti and Tuchel and Mou's first stint in our case, so I can't blame the manager for saying hey I too can quit you know

In light of the fact that most commentators have used Poch as a punching bag this season - not being fair about the situation he was in (unprecedented injury crisis/very young players) - I do NOT blame him. I hope the owners have not treated him unfairly and back him, but imagine managing a team with the huge obstacles he’s had to deal with only to have the owners not back you. He’s a very good coach; he has self-respect and has himself been very fair with the team publicly. It’s time for him to get some of that back. Go Poch.

There were quite a few games where his tactics were suspect. Take the arsenal game. What was the need to change the mid field combination that worked the previous game and had done well against City. Why get Enzo who as a matter of fact was injured. There are other games which I don't remember but were clearly winnable. However I still would like to give him three more months

I don’t know why there would be a surprise for Poch to come out with this when he has had a question mark over his head all season and both fans and pundits alike at times calling for his head, with no real valid reason behind it. He has achieved a better season out of this team than last season, he’s helped nurture a player who is up for player of the season and it’s not like we’ve ever been on a massive losing streak. He probably feels massively disrespected and rightly so.

@@blueheaven4838 right but in context, with a team that was pretty much already established last season under potter and the first sniff of a small run of losses and the fans and the media were relentlessly on his case and asking for him to be sacked. Given all the money spent before Poch even arrived and a virtually brand new team to put together because most of Potters lot had been sold or loaned out and he was already put under the same scrutiny immediately. So his tactics haven’t always been on point and I do agree that sometimes his knack of breaking something that doesn’t need fixing is frustrating but he has had to be so thick skinned all season because he’s never caught a break when in reality while it’s not been the giant leaps a lot of people were unrealistically expecting, improvements have been made.

@@blueheaven4838 subs maybe but we can’t really comment on half time talks because we don’t know what gets said. Also it can probably be challenging working with youngsters. In last weeks post match interview, Noni Madueke said Poch had told him to do certain things to improve as a player and make the team. He admitted to being hard headed and probably not trusting what Poch was saying but then he applied it and acknowledged Poch was right. On the strength of that, if other players are similar, no wonder it’ll take time.

The right wingback has to stick for Cucurella to invert and Gusto just can't do that. Again Having Mudyrk provides that cushion just incase we're caught up on transition, he has the legs to recover which is quite hard for the Rusty Nkuku. I'll rather have them(Gusto and Nkuku) coming from the bench and reward Trevoh with a start.

To be honest, I don’t think that Pochettino is wrong with his statement yes it has been a tough season but there is no one single manager out there that I would prefer ahead of him. I reiterate, it has not been a great season but considering the team he has. It’s only normal to be inconsistent. Lots of players that never played together, not only that, but also extremely young as well, so as a Chelsea fan of course I wanted a better season but Overall I’m not unhappy with the brand of football that we have played in many games. He has done a very decent job and it will only improve

He gets brought in to a team in disarray with a bunch of unproven youngsters, with owners who refuse to bring in experience and with fans who boo and tell him to leave. People forget he can walk away on his own accord at any time and leave Chelsea searching for a manager who will then have to start from scratch. Excited about this line up! I think what Poch was getting at is that there has been question marks over his head all season, and he may feel massively disrespected by not only the fans but the club too. The players seem to want to play for Pochettino and its showing in recent performances. Its not been great but look at what hes had to do, brand new squad of 22 with players injured left right and centre. Constant changes in the starting 11, but still producing one of the most xG in the league with a striker who has top 3 chances missed in the league this season. We have double as many big chances created than last season, alongside goals with an increase to how much we're conceding. But I dont blame Poch. He has to work with 39 Year old Thiago Silva who gets injured easily, Badiashille on limited minutes, Disasi whose been decent but isn't a class CB, Colwill forced at LB when Chilly and Cucu were injured and Chalobah at RB when Gusto and Reece are injured. He deserves time.

I've been watching back the extended highlights from Chelseas last few games, and Mudryk is actually really positive and plays a crucial role. He plays quite isolated because Cucu doesn't get up the left much, and Palmer, Madueke, and Gallagher tend to the right. Mudryk provides width, threat, and is very progressive on the ball. I'm really liking his overall game right now and shouldn't replace him on the left at all. Maybe Nkunku at ST and a Jackson at LW to offer something different, but Mudryk has been quietly putting in good, consistent performances.

Gusto cant play RCB in the new system weve been playing (its only worked because we have 3 CB on the pitch) so i wonder how we will play tactically, Cucu inverting and Gusto pushing forward would leave us so exposed but our old system with Cucu and Gusto overlaping leaves Caicedo exposed. I was bit frustrated with porch at d beginning. But d truth is this team full of injuries throughout d season. And to my opinion I think he has done bit better. So he deserves more time as d lads has started to recognize themselves.

If you're a football man, you can see progression. This is the best we've been for 2 years. We've actually got direction. Poch was just comparing situations. He wasn't being arrogant.

He should say that. Most fans walked on him for most of the season, saying he is not up the the job. We didn't back him up in harsh times why would he give a F and respect us now...?

in my opinion, we should play the same team as last match. I don’t see any point in changing the team at all. What it gives us is an opportunity to play the returning players as subs in the last 20 minutes of the match. (if it looks necessary and. If we want more goals. )

You don't want a honest manager. Simple. Pochettino has just described the reality. Has absolutely nothing to do with the games.

He's right to speak his mind...i wonder how you'd feel if you were in his shoes. The onwers are not backing him instead they're flying other coaches in for interviews if they want loyalty they should show some as well.... just his first full season with injuries and they are already thinking of cutting him.......the ownership showed public support for potter so...

You guy, George is somehow reckless with your emotions. If not, why suggesing changes to the present winning XI and formation? Why forcing the two players [Nkunku and Gusto] that are just coming from injuries into starting IX? Where's stability there, when we actually need to win our next three games and get European qualifications?

I don't know how people are taking that statement from Poch as he's threatening to leave. He's only said that often times the managers tend to shoulder the blame when sometimes the problem coild also be on the other side of the table.

Nkunku is the best player at Chelsea. He’s going to prove so many of you wrong. I hope he stays fit. I think, we should try James at CDM for a game? What yall think? Or James/Gusto, should try the left as well. Palmer is class. Jackson, should incorporate a prime Firminho playing style cause Jackson isn’t much of a finisher. He’ll be there to put Nkunku, Palmer and Madueke/Mudryk on game. Then there’s also Willian coming in, Paez, Angelo, Moreira, coming in geez. On a side note we should sell Sterling most def. I think instead of Osimhen for 120M, I think Tammy is still quality. Or Watkins. But 120 M for Osimhen man, these teams are exploiting our finances.

I would honestly go with the same lineup but switch jackson and nkunku, given that the striker in this system often drops off a bit to allow palmer to get forward, and i think that fits nkunkus player profile much more than jackson, whos pace would be more effective on the left

Nkunku is weak defensively until fully fit, also when Cucurrela moves to mid field which means Silva marks their winger. This will pose serious problem for my chelsea unless forest are not exploiting that lopehole.

George you and your talkertives social media cohorts have got to stop being hypocritical and get off the guys back. A few games into the season you lots started a social media campaign to get him out. How would you feel if your manager or supervisor dangled your job in front of you every week? Poch has never had 50% full squad to choose from consistently for at least 4 games. Not to talk about the likes of Enzo performing like £1m player all season. Poch been good and can only get better if supported!
