I was diagnosed with my 2nd DVT in 5 years only 3 days ago and have been put on rivaroxaban. The clot is behind my right knee and my calf is swollen and sore. This video really helps explain what and how they diagnosed where it is.

hi! so do we completely avoid augmenting if a thrombus is found, or you just skip augmentation at the location of the clot?

Thanks for excellent video. Do you have any experience with butterfly ultrasound? I recently purchased butterfly US and so far it has been very challenging to get good images. Thanks

I don't have experience using it.

Salah - We have recently purchased a butterfly ultrasound and have implemented it for the use of evaluating our covid patients. I agree images are not the same quality as most cart based machines but I think that is the limitation of the probe. I have not found any significant ways to improve image quality able what the presets provide. Have you had any more luck with it?

Have been using the Butterfly for quite a while. I haven't had trouble with vascular including this exam, but cardiac views are difficult. I blame the size of the transducer head (certainly not the examiner!).
