Another great interview! So glad you've finally managed to get Rodney Matthews on the show 😊 was amazed to learn Richard had never really seen a Terrahawks episode before, although I'm a similar age to Jamie and it was just something I grew up with at that time. Glad Richard managed to get through it 😅 looking forward to the concert coming soon!

Sorry you're slightly wrong about having members of the Civil Service in UFO (in a way.) Straker's efficient secretary Miss Ealand was played by Norma Ronald who also played ironically played an inept civil service secretary called Mildred Murfin in my favourite Radio series Men From The Ministry. This involved an inept group of Civil Servants which could be said to be kind of a forerunner of Yes Minister.

I am with Richard on this. I can take or leave Terrahawks. Some of the characters jar with me, but by far the worst thing was the naff 80's music. Flipping awful songs unnecessarily shoehorned into the "plot" with the cheapest synths they could lay their hands on at the time. Having said that, Windsor Davies is an absolute joy!! Also, loved the interview with Rodney Matthews. What an intriguing, interesting and colourful gentleman. Looking forward to part 2 of his interview next week

I'm with Richard. I've never before seen an episode of Terrahawks. I agree that Windsor Davies is the stand-out voice actor in it. The idea to use rubber glove puppets was, I reckon, a backward step from Anderson... they are several shades less believable than the characters in Thunderbirds. And it's clear why Thunderbirds is seen as the high watermark of Gerry and Sylvia's careers.
