@Over Under Sideways Down I grew up in Thousand Oaks, S. California. It's not far from Ventura where I always went to the beach, those were my most carefree days. I don't remember a city name Bell. I also lived one year in Sylmar, Ca. when the big earthquake of 1971 hit, it was very close to the epicentre of the quake....what a scary experience!

As I remember , she played about 2 hrs. She did a mix of original songs and a some standards. Her band was very good, about 6 players. She spoke to the crowd some. She was very pleasant. It was a smaller, college venue. (Tulane University)

I also saw her in the late '70s, at the Paramount in Oakland. I don't remember the length -- long enough. She had a back-up band and also played her own guitar. She introduced the songs and spoke about their origins. The Paramount is a converted '30s movie palace, quite large. We were on the balcony, but felt close enough. No doubt that a more intimate venue would have been more memorable, but we enjoyed everything.

The most beautiful, artfully sung song i ever heard and will forever cherish. Thank you Phoebe, God has you now and i think He Himself is honored.

Perhaps the most haunting song ever made, deeply penetrates buried emotions, exposing the painful past for too many lonely people.

It's so melancholy... And yet people are saying it makes them happy... It made me weep buckets when i ran across it last night

A picture, painted of a first love, Phoebe repeating, over and over again.

This is one of the earliest songs I can remember. I was 4 when it was released. My mother played it all the time. We lived on Ashbury street in SF. Even as a young child this felt like our theme music. Those were lovely days. Thank you Phoebe.

In 2020~her voice sounds just as silky, robust; and longing sweet, as I remembered in 1974.
