During my Nightwish journey I föhnde this finnish band. The singer has a beautiful voice. I recommand live stuff of this band. The Alexandre Theatre Sessions are remarkable. Try false kings.

Thank you and congrats for finally reacting to this "great old" Finnish legend. When you have time listen the "Alexander Theater" sessions and of course live concert from Moscow. "Sleep", "Lift", "Cradled in love", "Daze" , "Angel" etc...

Omg! I can't believe you did this so fast! 😁👍😍 I recommend them becouse I thought you would like them, I'm glad I was right 😊 This band is so underrated! But they have very devoted and lovely fans ❤️ I found my way back to them after long time. I have been missing out! Now I listen them every day. My favorite song might be War. During pandemic they did their old songs acustic in Alexander Theather in Helsinki. There I would recommend Angel, Sweet Escape, War, Lift... Actually all of them 😂 Marko's voice really get to shine there. I don't know what's up with all these great Marko's here... 🤔😁🔥😍

Good to see you are finding more Finnish bands to react to. Almost forgot the whole group despite this particular track was on the playlists every major radio station here in FIN🇫🇮 and over the Europe back in the days. Glad you liked it män. 😉👍 Cheers from the freeeeeezing Finland 🥶

Angel by Poets of The Fall. Alexander theatre session live in Helsinki Finland 2020. Marko Saaresto great voice. I love this song.

Poets of the Fall have some great songs. War is probably the next one you should listen to. So much good music out of Finland. If you're not opposed to something a bit heavier from the Finnish, check out Insomnium; While We Sleep.

My favorite band of all time. Not a fan of their newer stuff, but even that stuff is better than what I normally hear on the radio. When they play live they sound just like they do on their albums. Well... with some creative liberties every now and then. Might I recommend their live version of their song "Rebirth" (the Alexander Theatre Sessions).

Like many other Finnish bands Poets of the Fall sounds live as good as this. You might want to try, there is plenty of to listen to here in youtube. We have some amazing singers here in Finland, no need for autotune. Thank you for your reaction! I am sure you will find many other Finnish gems, too, in the future. We have many bands who do their own thing and their own art and you either like them or don't but that does not make the difference, they will keep their thing going in spite of. And you will continue to get some great and original music.

About the production: Every Potf album is produced and mixed by the band's synth/keyboard player, Captain - with the exemption of "Clearview" where you can really hear how muddy and overly compressed music can sound if it's produced by a pop producer. He has a background in music production and the technical side of things reaching all the way back to creating some of the most famous tracks made for the tracker on Amiga PCs (Captain - Space Debris, just as an example). But except for clearview, all the potf albums have an exceptional audio quality to the point where they can be used as test tracks for audio equipment. And they sound even better and clearer live!

I didn't know that captain had such a technical sound production background! Thanks for the info. I knew he usually did the post production on poets stuff but I never actually appreciated just how good of a job he did until I heard Clearview... wow the production on that album sucked. Songs were lovely but they were ruined by that stupid pop producer -he made it sound like punk 😑 I have a new appreciation for Captain's skills and the excellent audio quality ever since 😊

Please try Omnium Gatherum - melodic death metal band from Finland (harsh vocals + nicest melodies). Their music has a lot of influences from 80’s, it’s like AOR meets metal, but Finnish melancholy also here. They even did covers of the bands you’ve reacted - Rush (Subdivisions) and Infected Mushroom (In Front Of Me). Try song Fortitude (from new album) or The Unknowing. Along with Poets Of The Fall, their music is my warm blanket too 😆
