They are indeed excellent both musically and in the precision of their marching and drill. They are only surpassed by the Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines - the best military band in the world and it was a pity they were apparently not present.

It surprised me not to see a British band marching and am wondering why. I don't think that "not being able to afford it" would have been the reason. In fact, I feel that the UK would not have declined to participate. Was the UK Band part perhaps cut from the video for some reason? Was there some last-minute reason for them to pull out? Who knows? I checked and actually saw a British flag being carried (next to that of the USA) in the Entrance Parade of the Flags at the start (at 0m42secs). The flags of USA, UK and Ukraine were the last in line due, I guess, to the alphabetical order of countries participating. So, obviously, there WAS representation from UK.

Die deutschen Militärmärsche lassen Melodien kaum aufkommen, weil die Trommeln fast alles erschlagen. Die meisten anderen Kapellen, z. B. die polnische Militärmusik sind da viel besser!

@@martingschwandtner8473 Ja, die Trommeln und Schellen sind stark und laut. Aber sie stören nicht. Man kann sowohl den "Beat" aufnehmen als auch die Melodie. Wenn zwei Menschen sich unterhalten, kann man sich ja auch auf die Stimme eines einzelnen konzentrieren. So ist das in der Musik. Die Melodie hört man trotzdem. Meine Hände schwenken mit der Melodie und meine Füße wippen mit den Trommeln. Deutsche Marschmusik spricht mich - wenn man so will - auf zwei Kanälen an. Ich mag das.

However, given that Ukraine has shown it wishes to join the NATO organisation but, for various reasons, has not yet been allowed to AND, while most of NATO has been supporting Ukraine both militarily and materially during its recent and ongoing conflict, I think the country was invited to participate as a special guest like you suggest. This gesture by Lithuania, the host country, and by NATO generally, acts as a gesture of consolidated support towards Ukraine and also displays a definite gesture of solidarity with that country.

@@Asbestos_ Our Orkiestra Reprezentacyjna Wojska Polskiego (the most representative one) has them, but this probably was "just" Orkiestra Reprezentacyjna Wojsk Lądowych (WL - the most common soldiers fighting on the land). Still good.

Estonia is the only NATO country that does not have a military band. More precisely, it doesn't have anymore, because it was canceled two years ago. It has only the orchestra of the war museum.
