Chains will tangle really fast if you don't have swivels on them, so adding some nice ball bearing swivels near your handles can help immensely.

Genius. This is a recent fascination of mine. I'm seriously considering dedicating my life to poi. It's so beautiful to me. I'm really into music that moves exactly like poi in my mind, I'm hypnotized! Thanks for the inspiration.

I think this one works better than your new, shorter instructional video. The new one is great for showing exactly how it works though, while this one is more deep in how it's done.

I was browsing the 'tube looking for inspiration for a fire routine, but this might just have explained the problem I've been having with hyperloops! Good tutorial and a good mix of both the technical and what I refer to as the 'feel' of it (IE, wind and unwind, then show us with your arms so we can visualise, then explaining the automatic reaction) A pleasure to watch and I'm looking forward to testing this once I'm done with my fireworks-night routine ;)

@thisisjustaname12 Flat shoelaces are pretty good, I've found. They're soft and have a good bounce level, not as extreme as sock poi. You can tie the ends together with a whatever knot suits you, most common I think are the reef or overhang knot. :)

i understand the concept the only thing i'm having trouble with is finding the point of contact while spinning the poi. it's easy from a stand still but i can't figure out how to transition into it from a 3 beat weave. i'm also using 2 socks with rackett balls in them so i'm not sure if that makes a difference lol

Practice poi would denote whatever poi you practice with. These look like cone poi or some type of sock poi, possibly from home of poi. I know he reps the place a lot so I'd take a look at their cone poi.
