Just turned 50 in February this year. I feel good but also sad sometimes. It's a difficult range of emotions to navigate for so many reasons. My kids are grown now, my grandparents just memories..... damn. Not to mention all the doctor appointments for check-ups and screenings, ugh.😭

Yep 50 here too. The 80s was the decade we started figuring stuff out and exploring "things" lol. What a great time to be a teen. No cell phones and no stupid internet......we actually went and found things to do and stuff to get into.

Born in 1968, lived aged 12 - 22 in this decade. Now 54, wife left me, in the best shape of my life because I lift weights and run on treadmill to the '80's. Last summer I was the second oldest person to finish a 9 mile 2,000 elevation race in Vermont. People will come and go, but the eighties keeps giving back. I won't forget you 80's.

I still haven't told him where our seats are but I am sure he's figured it out. Next year we are Green Day bound and the 8 year old will be joining mom and bub for that adventure.

@@glenndavis1665 Some of the inside scenes were filmed at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Me. I remember them announcing how they were going to be filming for this video. I was up front, and have always remembered seeing the camera person get in Bobby’s face (2:13)-but I get that he could have done this other times, as well. It was a pretty small arena, and the lighting was different. You can see the difference compared to the other inside scenes. There’s also the scene of them eating Maine lobster. 😊 And yes, they were touring with Ratt. I believe that’s Robin Crosby at 3:11. Such good memories! I miss the 80s.

@@wife2sp . 6/22/87, I was there too. I was up front too, so might have bumped into you, lol. I can see the top of my face for a split second at 2:31, with Bobby Dall outside their tour bus. Pretty cool of him to come out to mix with the fans in the pouring rain. Another thing i remember from that show is being a little disappointed with Ratt's sound mix. I could barely hear anything Pearcy was singing. '87 was a great time..saw Def Leppard/Tesla at the same venue a few months later.

@@STEVEdh8xy That’s awesome! Who knows, we probably did! I was ten years old, in fifth grade, and my friends and I were just getting into music. My best friend, Billy, showed up at school with a copy of a new album. He showed it to me and I saw the cover and said,”oh they are all girls?” It was Look What The Car Dragged In. We started running home after school to watch Dial MTV daily and this video was constantly in the top ten. I was a big Kiss fan, so that shot with Paul Stanley playing guitar sold me. I was like, this band is rad. This is one of my favorite “live” videos. They look like they are having an absolute blast. Watching this video instantly takes me back to those days.

Hi Deana. My name is Chelsy. I am an avid fan of "Great music". For some reason after watching this video, that I shared with my 13yr old daughter, I scrolled down, I guess curious to the comments from others. I never do this, probably cause of so many bad things nowdays, but I did and stopped dead, when I came to yours. I feel for you and don't know you. I am truly sorry for the loss of your best friend ! I believe she's closer to you than you think, and keeping those dear memories so vivid and alive is the most precious and beautiful thing for yourself as well as loved ones here, and in the hereafter. Do something today that the two of you would do together, just a suggestion. maybe get your nails done her favorite color or print. start a seperate journal just to her. Again, I hope I'm not stepping on your toes, but maybe something of that sort could "help" some. may your day be blessed and something speical comes your way!!! sincerely, Chelsy
